Party Time!...

Good Evening,
Today is Wednesday and that means a new challenge at Penny's Challenges! The ever so talented, Penny has a sketch for us to play with this week! I had so much fun with this one. I used some Glimmer Mist for the first time. Hello, where has this product been hiding from me? I bought it in pearl, just to try it out. LOVE it! I really tried to capture the glimmer in my photo. I hope it visible enough in this pic. I used my Cricut for the party hat and the sentiment. Hope you enjoy. Go on over to Penny's Challenges to see the rest of the design teams amazing projects. Also, Penny's daughter, Gillian (9) has her first layout featured on Penny's blog. Go and give her some love too!

Imagine....

Happy Sunday!
I sure hope the sun shines here today. We had a day filled with rain, heavy at times, yesterday. My sweet Honeybee and I spent the afternoon shopping. I needed some things at Michael's and we even found a new scrapbook store! Not great, but new...
Anyway, today a brand new challenge is up at Cafe Mojo! This time you are being challenged to use hand stitching somewhere on your page. Wow, did I have fun with this one! It may be kind of difficult to tell, I put some stitching around some of the flowers and then I used the Bazzill stitch template to do the blanket stitch beside my scalloped border. You really need to check out what my super talented DTmates came up with for this one! You can connect via the Cafe Mojo site or use my side bar links.
I took this photo of Ashlea last fall while we were having a family picnic at the Breaks Interstate Park. Most people consider this park the Grand Canyon of the south. It is truly a majestic site. The journaling on this tag says "Ashlea, I imagine so many wonderful things for your future. I imagine you will always follow your (heart). When you can't, follow God's word!"
I love how this one turned out! I hope this challenge offers up some mojo for a page or project! Don't forget to share on the Cafe Mojo page!
Imagine Recipe:
paper-My Mind's Eye
ink-Tim Holtz

brads-Basic Grey

Harvest Time....

Good Saturday Morning,
Have you been to scrapsketch yet to begin the challenge blog hop? If you have what do you think of all the challenges and amazing PRIZES? I love it! The challenge for Practical Scrappers is to make a project using die cuts. I needed to make a fall card and so I found some really old fall paper that had leaves on it. I know it may be difficult to tell in the photo but it does look good irl. I used a rusty fall burnt orange cardstock and put it in the Swiss Dots folder. I used the Storybook cartridge to cut 2 inch leaves from that paper. I had the epoxy sticker, also left from last year. I really love the simplicity of this card!

Be sure to use the Mr. Linky and link up your projects to be registered for all the amazing prizes on all the blogs! Here is the prize for Practical Scrappers today:
SATURDAY GIVEAWAY: A $10 gift certificate from Heart & Soul Rubber Stamp Company. To qualify leave a comment below telling us if you have a blog and where it is located-then we can follow you too! If you are a new follower today please tell us so we can qualify you twice to win today!

Dawn's Pay It Forward...

Happy Thursday,
I came home yesterday to a most delicious package awaiting me! My dear friend, Dawn, had sent out a Pay If Forward post last month. Being a HUGE fan of everything Dawn creates, I jumped at the chance to receive some of her beautiful goodies. Wow, did I ever get some goodies! It was like Christmas, gifts just kept coming! Here are the yummy creations she sent. This was the card she included for me. It contained the sweetest little note on the inside!

First, I saw this gorgeous pumpkin purse in these fabby fall colors! This is the front side.

And this is the back side, how gorgeous is that!!!!!!
This is the Halloween card she included that matched he purse, I love the masked kitty.

This is what I saw when I opened the purse! Can you agree with me, this is just like Christmas!!!!

Take a peek at this stunning Christmas card she made.

Oh, and this little cranberry goodie box that included some lotions. Isn't this beautiful?

Check out this fabby embossing on the box. I love it Dawn!

This is a little (2) bags of dry snacks with the most adorable topper on it ever!

Thank you so very much Dawn! You are such a special friend! I am so very Blessed to know you!

Whoo Loves You?...

Happy Wednesday,

First, if I didn't get to make it to your blog yesterday, I'm sorry. I had a meeting after school and then helped my Mom hang wall border in her kitchen. By the time I got home, I went to bed. I'll be doing my reading today after school.

Penny has a fun new challenge up this week. You will include an owl in your project. I just love the owl on the Storybook cartridge. I wanted to do a fun shape card this week. I drew a tree trunk and top. I used the same cartridge to cut many one inch leaves, inked them, and attached to the base. Then I inked up my little owl and attached some Kaiser amber bling. The photo doesn't do the eyes justice. They look really cool irl! Anyways, I hope this challenge inspires you to try something fun and maybe go outside your comfy zone! Check out Penny's Challenges and the amazing creations of the other ladies on the design team. I have link my sidebar. I hope to see your owl projects!

The Lord Bless You...

Happy Tuesday,
We made it through Monday!!! As you already know, Practical Scrappers is challenging us to use felt this week on our projects. I have had this lilac felt in my stash for at least a year and never used it! What does that say about me as a 'hoarder'? I made this simple card using a digi sentiment from my desktop folder. I was really bad when I purchased it and didn't label it. I am sure it came from either Lindsay's Stamp Stuff or Squigglefly. I added the felt and pearls to accent and a quick beautiful card! I hope your day is going great!
