Dream a little dream...
Good Morning,
On this Memorial Day, please take a moment to honor those who have served proudly to protect and defend. Please pray for the men and women who are serving today, for their safe return home, and for their families. Happy Memorial Day! If you have the day off, enjoy!
It is Monday and that means a new challenge is up at Practical Scrappers. This week we want to see vellum, transparencies, or some acrylic accent. I have had this Fancy Pants paper for at least two years, just saving it for I don't know what....well, I finally used it! The paper and the 12X12 overlay coordinate perfectly. I wanted a little touch of vellum so I cut a small flower, several layers, wrinkled it up and attached it on the top of the overlay. I stamped a butterfly with embossing ink on the same vellum and clear embossed it. It was cute, but looking back at it now...I think I may need to change it.
We are being sponsored this month by Squigglefly. The winner of this week's challenge will receive three digi images, as always, you have until 5:00 PM to play on Saturday, June 5.
Please check out all of the incredible projects my PS sisters have for your inspiration, and leave them some love.

A day on the lake....
Good Sunday Morning,
Such deep thought while enjoying some cheese puffs.
This is just a shot back through the boat as we were enjoying a lazy day.
And finally, my dt sister at Creations by Penny, Alison, has bestowed this Sunshine Award upon me.
I'm sharing a few photos of our day on the lake yesterday. This first one is little miss "tween" Ashlea, in the bikini and ponytail with her cousin, Jenna.
Here is my brother-in-law and the little man navigating down the lake. Notice who is driving....he's 5 going on 16.
Such deep thought while enjoying some cheese puffs.
This is just a shot back through the boat as we were enjoying a lazy day.
I'm sharing this Sunshine with all of you, my followers. Each of you bring sunshine my way with every comment you leave. Please take this award and spread the love, and Alison, right back at you, sweet friend!

Good Saturday Morning,
I'm sharing this fabby sketch brought to you by my incredibly talented Practical Scrappers sister, Pia. This is the Friday Sketch that you can play along with this weekend. Isn't it wonderful?
This is my take on it.....my little man has been playing baseball for a month now and I hadn't scrapped any of his photos yet. So this sketch was the inspiration I needed to get moving.
Everything on this page is Little Yellow Bicycle except the ribbon. I hope you are inspired to play along with us on this one, don't forget to link up with Mr. Linky! Have a terrific Saturday!

hello.....
Happy Friday,
I am sooooo happy that it is Friday! Only one more Friday before Summer Vacation for this third grade teacher! Yay....
Have you been to visit Sketches In Thyme yet? The Maven's are being introduced every day and eagerly awaiting the first big reveal on June 3! Go check it out and say a sketchy hello!
This morning, I have a gorgeous photo inspiration challenge for you from Frosted Designs. When Meg and Jamie sent this photo, my cornflowers were just about to bloom. These are so very delicate looking, yet will bloom and bloom when cared for properly.
Your challenge is to use the photo, the textures, and the style to complete your layout or project. I was instantly drawn to this Basic Grey Lily Kate paper for this challenge. It has the shades of purple and hint of blue along with the green. I added some stickles for some bling and texture. This beautiful paper really did all the work. The sentiment is created with some bling alphas I got from a dollar bin forever ago at Hobby Lobby.
I hope this card and photo have inspired you to create this morning! Please visit my fabby Frosted sisters and prepare to be inspired by them!
My card for The Town Scrapper this week was featured on the Monday Showcase, so I'm off today. But, you need to pop over and see what the Scrapettes have done with this sketch.
Have a fantastic Friday! If you are traveling for the holiday this weekend, please travel safely!

Big News...
Good Morning,
I told you that I'd have some big news to share today. So here goes.....I'm taking the plunge. I'm beginning a new challenge blog, Sketches In Thyme.
My hopes for this challenge blog are to get more scrapping done myself. I love scrapping and I'm addicted to it, I have put it on the back burner for a while but no longer. I know many of you love scrapping with sketches and hopefully you are inspired by Sketches In Thyme!
Head over this morning and meet the first of my Sketchy Mavens.....Dawn. I'll be having introductions everyday until the first sketch is revealed on June 3. While there, grab our badge and help spread the word!

Busy Monday....
Good Morning,
It is Monday again, you know what Monday brings around.....a new challenge for Practical Scrappers. At last glance, we had 162 entries this week....that is awesome! Thanks to you all for playing along with us, please come back this week too! Now on to our winners for the patterned paper challenge, Deb Neerman, Deborah, Fleer, Susan, and the Grand Prize Winner is Svetik. Thanks again for all of the fabulous creations ladies!
Our challenge this week is to use fabric, felt, or tulle on your project. As you know, we've been sponsored all this month by Wink, Wink, Ink. I chose to use the Pup in a Boot image and opted for the one that is already colored....perfectly!
I also wanted to use some tulle, as I've not yet played with it. I tied a small piece vertically around the striped dps. Then I have about 30 layers of tulle cut with my smallest nestie scalloped circle to create the flower. It was too white, so I inked it up just a bit with some purple inks. Here's a close up of the tulle flower....what do you think?
I used some bling and embossing to finish the card off. Please visit the rest of my scrappy dt sisters all this week at Practical Scrappers, you'll find so much inspiration there!
*****************************
The second card to share today is for the Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper. I am sharing this sweet little Zeke! He is one of the cutest little dudes around! I love the distressed papers I used on the card. I really tried to match up the blues and orange for his clothes. I finished it off with some brads, ribbon, and a chipboard sentiment.
This Zeke is available at The Town Scrapper, exclusively...... contact Phebe to get yours.
Please visit my fellow Scrapettes who are featured today, you will be so inspired by their creations, leave them some scrappy love!
Back tomorrow with some BIG news!!!!!

Good Morning,
I hope you have some scrappy fun planned for today! I'm getting lots of rain here, so after all the errands, hopefully, I'll be scrapping.
This morning, I'm sharing a brand new image available at Creations by Penny. This is the precious Momma Deer. This image is so beautiful and I love the soft pastel papers I paired it with. All the papers, rubons, and buttons are scraps from a Crate Paper kit. The ribbon and flowers are from stash.
Have you heard about all the NEW designers she has in the store now?

I'm off this week, but you can see my Sassy Scrapettes' awesome creations here. Visit them and leave some scrappy love!
Next up, the awesome new challenge at Frosted Designs, I so love it!!! We want to see a shoe on your project. I had inked up my cutttlebug folder with black ink, ran the white cardstock through, spritzed with pearl glimmer mist, repeated for the black, used nesties to cut the scalloped square. The shoe is from M and M Designz. I used some silver embossing powers to give it the classy touch. I really love the pink breast cancer ribbon on the top strap of the shoe. I also added some bling to the toe strap, the center of the black ribbon down the side and the flourishes. You MUST visit my fabby Frosted Sisters and check out their incredible shoe projects! Leave them some love too!
Finally, here is some big news that I just can't can't wait to spill........

Good Thursday Morning,
This morning I have a fabby new Creations by Penny digi image to share. I LOVE this swirl flower. I used the new sketch from cardabilities.
All the paper in this card came from my scrap drawer! You gotta love that! I embossed the base with the stylized flowers folder, used my nesties to cut the scalloped squares, added lots of Tim Holtz distress ink, some bling, lace ribbon, stickles and cut a butterfly from the cricut.
Visit Penny today to pick up this gorgeous flower digi! She has some brand new bookmarks too!
I hope your Thursday is great. This is our last day of KCCT testing. Yahoo....we test Monday and Tuesday with ITBS, there's no stress with that one!

anything is possible....
Good Morning,
Today is a new challenge day for us at The Sisterhood. This week we are Around the World again and my beautiful sistah, Micki is our hostess. She has taken us to Germany. You can use any thing that can be related to Germany. I chose to use the colors of the flag, red, black, and yellow. I also used an image that has flowers, the Emperor's flower is called "Bachelor's Button". This little image by CC Designs was just perfect to create those little blue flowers. So here's my take on the German challenge.
Here's a close up of the little doll and those "Bachelor's Buttons"
Now, you MUST check out what my super talented sistahs have for you inspiration this week, you'll be playing along with us for sure! They are linked up in my sidebar, leave them some love..

A kiss on a rose...
Good Monday Morning,
I hope you all had a great and relaxing weekend. Today is time for a new challenge over at Practical Scrappers. Before I reveal my layout, let's see who the winners are for the punches challenge. The top three are: Janice, Irinka, Melin, and our grand prize winner is Momo. Congrats and you all did a fantastic job, as always!
Now, on to the current challenge. We want to see patterned paper baby! I had picked up this stack on sale at Michale's a while back. It is somewhat bold for me. I decided this was the time to pull it out. I used 4 different patterns for this background. The butterflies and flowers are cut from the remaining scraps. If you look closely, the flower stems are made from pp too! I really should have gone with a darker ribbon for the leaves on the flowers. I think the pink ribbon gets lost in the photograph. It looks good irl, but you can't hardly see it here. You know the butterflies had to have some stickles.
In case you are curious, the rose is growing in my Gran's garden. She loves Knock Out roses and this one I caught the perfect bud as it was opening.
Check out my super talented dt sisters all week for terrific inspiration and don't forget that the grand prize winner will receive three digi's from Wink, Wink, Ink, our fabby sponsor this month. I can't wait to see what you all do with patterned papers!

Some baby layouts to share...
Good Morning,
