Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!! I have had an incredibly busy week, as I'm sure many of you have experienced too! Just a quick note to wish you all the most blessed day! I hope Santa is good to you this year! He's been especially kind to me! I love you, Santa!!

I also forgot to post my Frosted Designs layout yesterday. This week our challenge is a holiday song. I had this sassy photo of Ashlea walking in last year's snow.

The photo didn't capture the title very well. I used some velvet covered thickers and it is just yummy irl. These papers are last year's Bo Bunny A Gift of Love.....I thought they were just so pretty. Be sure to check out what the rest of the Frosted ladies have to share with you.
Again, wishing you all the most glorious day!
Merry Christmas!

We have a new challenge up at Frosted Designs this morning and look who is sponsoring us this week!

The winner of this week's challenge will receive 3 sets of her choice of digi images. These are simply amazing!
We want to see you use some ribbon on your projects this week. I decided that I would create a Snowman Soup gift for my bff's little girl.

The ribbon at the top of this jar was white, I inked it to match the background paper I used, which by the way is Cutting Cafe. The little poem is one of the images in this set too! I used a different piece of ribbon to attach it to the jar.

Look at this frosty little guy....

He and the Snowman Soup were also part of this set of digis. I used some stickles to add the sparkle to his hat and snowflakes. I added just a bit to the letters in "soup" but it is difficult to see in this photo.

This is the top of the lid....

This snowflake was yet one more in the set, and it was already colored!!!! I just punched it out and added a bit of sparkle.
As I said, this is going to be a part of my gift set for my bff's DD. I'm looking for a darling snowman shaped mug to a accompany it, filled with some candy canes (to stir the soup) and her little bits of "diva stash" (nail polish, lip gloss, and jewelry from Justice).
I'm quite certain that this will be a huge hit with her.

Now show us your creative uses for ribbon and you could win some of these fabby images too!

your smile....

Well, it is Cyber Monday....are you ready? I'll be spending my day back at school with my wonderful third grade!
Today I'm sharing a layout for Practical Scrappers. We were asked to use stickers in a way other than a title. I posted my little flower element for you yesterday. If you missed it, you can see it in the very next post.
I used Diana's lovely sketch from Frosted Designs for my layout. I love this one and couldn't wait to use it!!!

Here is the completed the layout. I used some old Floral Tapestry papers from CTMH for this one. I decided it is time to start pulling out this stash of paper and USE it!

The beauty in this layout is my 17 year old niece, Samantha. This is her school photo for this year, Junior year.

Everything on the page is CTMH except the bling (Recollections) and the chipboard is Pink Paislee.
Come back tomorrow as you'll see a sneak peek for Lucky Girl Warm Winter Wishes kit!!!!

Give Thanks

I hope that you all had a very blessed Thanksgiving with your families! I know that we enjoyed the day with both of our families. There is so much to be thankful for this year. I'm sitting in the waiting area at the hospital as I write this. My Gran is in pre op. Please pray for her.

Our challenge this week at Frosted Designs is to share what you are thankful for. I created this card....

very simple, but wanted everyone in my family to write one thing that they're thankful for. This will then make it's way to a layout with snapshots from our family dinner.

Our sponsor this week is Technique Junkie...

The Prize from Technique Junkie is....a Fancy Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts CD (Value $17.95) and a one year on-line subscription to the Technique Junkie Newsletter.

So now is the time to share with us what you are thankful for. Remember you can share any project you create.

give thanks

Today I'm sharing an altered 5X7 photo frame. I had the challenge at Practical Scrappers and Frosted Designs to create something giving thanks. Well, for my regular followers, you know what I'm MOST THANKFUL for, yes, Ashlea and Jon-Christopher. My sister is so good to let me have them when I want. I love all my nieces and nephews so dearly. These two feel just like my own children, at least I think this is how a mother must feel....

Everything on this frame except the ribbon and bling are from Wild Saffron. First I measured and cut the paper to trim the frame. I then added some embellishments, inked up the chipboard letters, finished off with bits of bling and ribbon.
Do you love the effect on the photo. I wanted a ghost like look, so I set my printer to fast draft and printed on babmoo cardstock. I LOVE how this turned out and my Granny already has it sitting in her living room.....
What are you most thankful for this season, I'd love to hear, please leave a comment telling me.

first shot...

I'm back with this great sketch from Debbie at Frosted Designs, with Sketch Along Tuesday.
I love this sketch and decided to play along tonight!

I so wanted to scrap this photo of my little man that my brother in law took right after he helped Jon-Christopher "get" his first two squirrels!

The background paper, banner, and alphas are left over Lucky Girl kits from back in the summer. The red polka dot is MME, the pom trim and buttons are from stash. The arrow and other stickers are CTMH as is the ink.

I had fun with this one and I'm so proud of my little man!

r.i.p.

Welcome to a fun day!!! Over at Frosted Designs we were sharing some Holiday Treats! Our sponsor is Purple Panda. We were given some fab little images to play with. I know I wanted to use the spooky "rip" image. So I created a little goodie for my Honeybee!

Side view of the pretty glass jar. This used to be a candle jar....I love it
I used scraps from the DCWV Midnight Spell papers as the background for the image, added a couple bats, some Halloween ribbon and the cute little tag is finished.

This is the top view of her candy jar. I used a felt embellishment and some Halloween trim to finish off the treat. Oh and my Honeybee found it last night....needless to say, I doubt he'll have any candy left by Sunday!
I hope you'll check out the rest of my fabby Frosted sisters. There are some spooktactular projects for you to browse today! I can't wait to see what you create!

Now, fall also includes that spooktactular time of year that kids love, Halloween. You can show us your fall/Halloween projects.
I chose to scrap this photo of the love of my life, my sweet Honeybee!

This is an 8X8 for his little book. We spent the perfect day together and I so wanted to document this day and my love of fall and my best friend, Ben!

Boo!!!

Wooo Hoooo, my computer is working again! Hopefully it is fixed for good now!!! It feels so good to have it up and running! I had really forgotten what it was like before the laptop!
Anyways, here is my take on this week's Frosted Design challenge. Barb is hosting and she has challenged us to use some hand doodling and our own handwriting on our project.
This is one will be for Jon-Christopher or Hunter. I just used my white Jelly Roll pen to add some doodles to the "air" around the bat and a spooky Boo!!
Everything on this card is left over from last year's stash.
I hope you will hop on over to Frosted Designs to check out what the rest of my fabby frosted sisters came up with.
Enjoy this beautiful day!!!

Lucky Girl Blog Party and Frosted Designs....

Good Morning,
We have a new challenge up at Frosted Designs, we want to see your favorite book as inspiration for your project. This can include your book in the title or just as inspiration. I used my new Boo Crew Lucky Girl October Kit to create this haunting little layout.

Everything on this page is in the kit except the skull ribbon, that is from my stash. As you can tell from my title, I love the Mary Pope Osborne Haunted Castle on Hallows Eve book. I read this every October to my third grade. This book was the perfect inspiration for these spooky papers. Be sure to visit my fabby Frosted sisters today!!!!

Aspire

Good Morning,
Today is a new reveal at Frosted Designs. This week, Sharon is hosting and she has inspired us to use Peaches N Cream with any kind of sparkle. Hmmmmm, a challenge right up my alley.
I used my Sorbet ink to ink up the inside of my stylized flowers folder and embossed some cream cardstock. Don't you love this technique? I do. Very elegant yet very simple. For the sparkle, I added some pearls and a shimmery cream ribbon.
Head over to see the beautiful inspiration for the rest of my fabby Frosted sisters!

Pieces of You...

Good Morning,
It feels so good to get a real post up! This is my dt project for Frosted Designs this week. Pat is our lovely hostess. She is challenging you to cut up your photo in some way. Be creative and think of fun ways to step outside your box.

I chose to cut this on of my Daddy into 4 pieces. He loves his shady spot by the lake and his garden. This photo captures how he sits and "studies" life. I wanted to have all focus on it and created my journaling around the edge of the decorative cut CTMH paper.
I used some second generation stamping on this one and my blooms are Bazzil and Prima. The big bling in the flower is by Kaiser and the bird is Prima, I think....I couldn't find the packaging on it.
So hop on over to Frosted Designs to be inspired by my fabby frosted sisters. Oh and don't forget that our sponsor this month is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More.

Double Reveal Day....

Good Morning,
Today is a busy day here on my blog. We are having a photo inspiration challenge at Frosted Designs....Didn't Diana choose a beautiful photo to inspire us?

I chose to use this darling little "Ms. Birdie" digi image from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps, our sponsor this month.

My papers and bling are Hobby Lobby, the flower, button, and ribbon are from stash. I used a ticket left from my August Lucky Girl kit for the title...I have a coworker who is having hard time getting back into the school/home routine. I"m giving this card to her to remind her to trust herself and know that God has a plan for her as an educator.....
Please hop over to all my Fabby Frosted sisters and let them know that they inspire you!

Day 3 of Lucky Girl Blog Party.....

Didn't I tell you this kit is scrummy? I love this sheet of paper! It was just perfect for this older photo I have of my Honeybee! I only used ink on the gorgeous gold paper. The green photo mat is the Prima packaging recycled! Aren't these blooms and bling to die for?

First Day.....

Good Morning,
Today is Friday and that is a new challenge reveal at Frosted Designs. My super talented sister and friend, Jessica is hosting this week. Her challenge it to create a back to school themed page.
I had to do this adorable photo of the little kids on the first day of school. This was taken last Wednesday.

I used all papers from Making Memories, stamps and ink from CTMH, Storybook, Makin the Grade, and George cricut carts and notice the yummy aphas! Those are from the Lucky Girl August Kit, Old School.

Speaking of Lucky Girl, Jessica is sponsoring our prize this month, check this out....

celebrate life....

Good Morning,
I'm sorry that I didn't get to read any blogs last night. It was first day back for teachers and we had Open House at school from 5-7. I didn't get out until 7:30 and home @ 8. I ate dinner and hit the bed! I'll be visiting tonight....

Well, today is my day to host the Frosted Designs challenge. I chose the theme "Celebrate Life." The reason behind this theme, today is Granny's 84 birthday and I want to celebrate!!!! Happy Birthday, Gran!!!! I love you! I'm using the Friday Sketch at Practical Scrappers by our fabby designer, Pia...isn't this fun?!!!

And here is my take on it....This is Gran with Megan (bottom) and Ashlea while at the beach this spring. She loves birds, flowers, and all things that God gives us in nature. So this layout is all about celebrating her.....

All papers and embellies are Making Memories (Chloe's Closet), the stamps and ink are CTMH. I used some stickles to accentuate the flowers and birds, as well as to add just a hint of shimmer.
I also chose to use a colored pencil border for the photos rather than cut paper mats. I really like the effect of it.
Here is a better look at the stickles and the birds....

Now, head on over to check out my fabby Frosted sister's inspiration for you as well! Leave them some love!!!! I can't wait to see how you Celebrate Life.....

adore...

Good Morning,
Today is Friday and that means a new challenge is revealed at Frosted Designs. This week we want to see the direction of your projects!!!! Direction? Yep, that means use an arrow or arrows when you create. Barb has a side challenge, the project that uses the most arrows, will receive a special prize!!!!

I used the Sassy 'lil Sketches sketch here for this layout

Here is my take

I'm giving you a sneak peek at the August, Old School, Lucky Girl Craft Kit. Everything on this page is in the kit, except the base cardstock. This is my little Hunter, who lives at our lakehouse in Tennessee. I snapped these one evening while at the beach in March. Isn't he adorable?

Now, head over to Frosted Designs to see the direction the fabby frosted ladies are taking their projects, and say hello! When you are finished there, get ready for our August Blog Party at Lucky Girl Crafts! Believe me, this kit is the very BEST yet!!!! Join us August 1-3 for your chance to win scrappy awesomeness!!!!!

my everything...

Good Morning,
Today is Friday, and that means a new challenge reveal at Frosted Designs!!!! I love this week's challenge, it is to scrap with song lyrics...
Well this was a no brainer for me, my honeybee absolutely loves Lifehouse's Everything! He sings it to me all the time, even more so now that he is having to work in PA. So the title for this one was easy!!!!

I used up scraps from my June Lucky Girl kit to create this page. The flowers are Prima and Bazzill, the bling is Hobby Lobby and the button & twine are from stash. My punch is Fiskars and the rubons are American Crafts. Ink and pen are CTMH.
Don't forget you will have an entry for our July prize package if you play along this week! Prize picture is posted on my sidebar.
Go visit my fabby Frosted Sisters, as I know you will be inspired to scrap a song lyric!

My 2 Boys....

Good Morning,

I just have a quick post this morning as I'm still painting....
The new challenge this week at Frosted Designs is to use border punches!!!! We love our punches don't we. Here is my layout....

I used my EK Success corner rounder with the guard off to create my scalloped border. I love using in that way!!!
This is already a favorite of mine. Why? you ask, well, it is my two boys last week while boating. Jon-Christopher (dark hair) will be six on July 22 and Hunter (blonde) was six in April.
I used all Cogsmo Cosmo Cricket supplies on this one. The ink and staples are CTMH & the felt border is from stash. I put the journaling on a tag and attached the felt to pull it out.
Don't forget this yummy July prize!!!! All you have to do to win it, is PLAY along!!!!

Please visit my fabby frosted sisters and check out the fantabulous inspiration they have for you today!!!! I hope to see your creations this week.
Blessings,
