Happy Wednesday,
It is time for a new reveal from Penny's Challenges. This week Penny has a sketch for you! A really fun sketch to play with. I wanted to get to play with my new debossing folder from Cuttlebug, so I made this a winter card. I used this plum cardstock and ink on the debossing. I used pop dots behind my squares and my snowflakes, not really sure that I like that part, but I love the folder! Head on over to Penny's Challenges and play along this week. Well, we have a sketch for you this week over at Digital-Ink Co. A fun and fabby sketch to use anyway you like! What do you think about this?

The Design Team had the pleasure of using an image by Judy at M&M Designz. I chose to do this fabby shoe with the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon. I just want to shout out to Judy, I adore this entire set. I picked them up during the Falloween Blog Hop last week. I support Breast Cancer research in any way I possibly can. Here is the card I made. I am actually sending this to my aunt Irene, in Ohio. She just had a biopsy on her breast on Friday. She will get the pathology reports back on the 16th. I am praying that it isn't cancer. This shoe just screamed out shine, glitz, and glitter. So that is exactly what I did. I pulled out the silver embossing powder to do the inner back sole pad and the bottom heel on the shoe. I used black stickles around the outer parts and the band. For the pink ribbon, I used liquid glass. I also wanted my sentiment to be blingy, so I embossed it too. I thought the ribbon needed to be more simple, so no bow on this one. But I did add the black bling in the top scallops. I used my d'vine embossing folder and spritzed on the glimmer mist. Notice how it (glimmer mist) kind of took on a different "thicker" look after the embossing. Oh, and I had to add a gem to the toe piece.Well, what do you think?

Good Thursday Morning,

Today we begin a new month, October is here! With that, today is also the last day of the "Challenge Blog Hop". I am working very feverishly to get all of them completed. This one is for Whimsical Scraps and Bugs. It was a challenge to use the Storybook cartridge (marquee and boo) and to use any embossing folder on the marquee. I wanted the little flourishes to really stand out, so I sanded them lightly and then sprayed with my new glimmer mist (love that stuff). I put in a little 100 calorie pack of goodies. I hope you enjoy and don't forget today is the last day of the "Challenge Blog Hop"!

Harvest Time....

Have you been to scrapsketch yet to begin the challenge blog hop? If you have what do you think of all the challenges and amazing PRIZES? I love it! The challenge for Practical Scrappers is to make a project using die cuts. I needed to make a fall card and so I found some really old fall paper that had leaves on it. I know it may be difficult to tell in the photo but it does look good irl. I used a rusty fall burnt orange cardstock and put it in the Swiss Dots folder. I used the Storybook cartridge to cut 2 inch leaves from that paper. I had the epoxy sticker, also left from last year. I really love the simplicity of this card!

Yippeeeee, Friday is here!!! I have a fun card to share this morning. I made my first Halloween card using an image from Stamping Mama 4U over at the Digital Ink Co Store. Isn't this this cutest little Halloween card? I kept it fairly simple but bold in color. I hope you have a great Friday and if you're like me and have some Little Kids, you'll be going to watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs this weekend! Can't wait. That is always a favorite book in my classroom. Ashlea and Jon-Christopher can't wait to see Chewandswallow on the big screen!

I hope you're having a terrific Thursday, I know I am. I took the day off and I am getting caught up on DT projects, cleaning up the house, and packing for my trip to the lake house tomorrow. My project today is a birthday card for my Mom. Her birthday is on September 7 and we'll be celebrating while in Tennessee. I used the Get Sketchy #3 for this fun and colorful card. I packed it full of Cuttlebug and heat embossing, as well as some liquid glass treatment. The second photo is a peek at the inside of the card.

First, are there any Daughtry fans out there? I have been a huge fan of Chris Daughtry since he auditioned on American Idol. His sophomore album, Leave this Town, was released this week. I had to get it. I LOVE every song it! So if you're a Daughtry fan, it is a MUST HAVE!

2 Red Bananas Challenge....

Good Saturday Morning,
Just a quick post this morning, this one is from the 2 Red Bananas Cuttlebug Challenge. The image is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and it was FREE! When I purchased my baby set the other day, she had emailed me about her July promotion, spend $5 and get a free image. I just adore the way this little bird is looking to the flower. I knew I wanted to use this image with the Creme Brulee cardstock. The embossing folder I chose to use was the Stylized Flowers. I then lightly sanded it to reveal some of the white core. I really wanted my blue birdie to be the main focus, so I used Bazzill blue cardstock. The bling brads are Bazzill too. The ribbon is from stash and I used my colored pencils on the image.
