My seven things....I'm trying for seven unknown facts this go around....most of you have been with me a while and know me well.

1. I used to do counted cross stitch until scrapping became my addiction.

2. I'm a huge basketball and football fan, I'm learning how to love baseball, with the little man playing.

3. I would rather watch Ashlea dance in a competition or recital than go shopping or out to dinner.

4. I recently learned to eat fish....I always thought it was nasty, but I can eat it now...

5. I love lemon in my water.

6. My favorite color is yellow and I love daises!!!!!

7. I have a pretty green thumb, love to spend time in my flower garden.

Good Monday Morning,

Today is a quick post. It is Monday and that means a new challenge at Practical Scrappers!!!!!! We have winners from our border punch/decorative scissors challenge. Our Top 3 are Andrea, Sarah, Kendra, and our winner is Angie. Congratulations ladies, you created some awesome projects this past week!

Our new challenge is to use animation or cartoon in your project.

I had this Sassafras paper that was just perfect for this challenge. The clouds, rainbows, and mushrooms are such fun and yummy papers for the photos I wanted to scrap. I also loved all the color, I can get trapped in the muted subtle colors sometimes. I think everything about this layout is reflective of the fun we had the day these pictures were taken.

Happy 4th of July!!!!!! I hope you all have a great day with family and friends! We enjoyed a day on the lake with a finale of fireworks last night. Oh, not to worry, there will be more fireworks tonight!
I'm sharing the Friday Sketch from Practical Scrappers today,


and the challenge from Frosted Designs, which is red, white & blue with stars and stripes.

Keeping in the true Practical Scrappers fashion, I used things that were really old on this layout. The paper and stickers have been in my stash for a long time. The only new things on here are the numbers and the "All". I used one of the new cricut lite's for the title. This one is called "varsity letter", I think....it is at home. Anywho.....my little man loves his all star page.

I chose to use these photos of Ashlea and Jon-Christopher from Ashlea's pool party in May. Ashlea is 4 years older than Jon, but they really are best buddies. Today is also our Challenge 4 reveal at Sketches in Thyme. Our sketch this week comes to you from Moma, she creates some incredible sketches, please check her out!

I created a layout for Ashlea's dance book, this one is in memory of her dance partner, Destiny, that I told you about yesterday. Destiny was killed by a 26 year old driving DUI. Her wake is tonight. Please pray for her family, friends and my Ashlea as she says goodbye....
