DT CALL...

Hey everyone, spread the news, Sketches in Thyhme is having a DT/Sketch Team call. Applications will be taken through August 24, 2014..... Grand Re-opening is set for September 1, 2014!!!!

I {heart} Me...

I was inspired by Scrap Our Stash to create a layout using a selfie and old stash. I really had fun digging through all my old stash for this layout. I printed the photo in a draft style mode using only grey scale . I wanted it to have a distressed look about it. I did have to trim the bling flourish on the side of the photo, one of them was coming across my face...
I also found this sketch that I used for inspiration...

Recipe: Basic Grey Sweet Pea Alyssa, Fusion Spoiled, Fandango Black Tie, and Mustard Aged &  Confused Vagabond papers. The butterflies were in my stash along with the bling. Flowers are La Petite by the Paper Studio, ribbon is by CTMH (so old, not even available any more), Ranger distress inks in Walnut Stain and Antique Linen. Finally, those Sugar Coated chipboard alphabet are from doodlebug design.

Opposites Attract.....

After a grueling last month of school, stress, stress, and more STRESS....I am finally back at it!!!! This week our challenge at Lasting Memories is to make a layout featuring 'opposites attract'. I choose to use two different shapes in my double page layout. I used curves and straight edges. I also used flowers and pinwheels.
Can't wait to see your take on this challenge!

Recipe: papers- Victory (CTMH), brads, color ready alpha's, twine , and wooden flourishes- CTMH, Dessert Sand and Autumn Terracotta ink- CTMH, wooden shapes and canvas- EK Succes.
