Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!

Today, I am just sharing some photos of my my Ashlea and Jon-Christopher's Halloween party from last Saturday night. I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween!

For some yummy appetizers, try some "Skeleton Fingers", delish!

The main dish, "Sewer Slug Slime with Bat-wing Eyeballs!" Yummy...

No party would be complete without some cobweb popcorn!

Here is a view of the "Witches Brew". It was grape juice with a gummy snake and spider dropped in, along with a handful of spider rings. This was the "magical potion" for fun!

This is the little Halloween tree that Ashlea and Jon-Christopher decorated on my front porch. Of course, the huge spider was one of Jon's favorites!

Spooky....

Yippee, it is Friday!
Friday means a new challenge at Humble Pie Stamps! This week our head baker's have a sketch for you. This sketch was really fun to work with, it made me think outside my little box and I love that! Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I came up with. I used the adorable little bat boy image. I just adore him and think our stamp artist, Heather, really did a fantastic job with him. I just adore how he looks as if he is deep in thought. I'd love for you to visit each of my DT sisters and leave some love for them, as they have some incredible designs. You have until midnight November 5 to play and remember, you do not have to use Humble Pie stamps. I'd love to see your take on the sketch!
The winner will receive $10 in Maggie Money!!!!

Boo Bag.....

Happy Thursday!
Practical Scrappers is beginning a new feature this week! Now, on Thursday's we'll be revealing altered items featuring the weekly challenge. I decided to do a treat bag after being inspired by my friend Wanda. Now, my bag isn't hand created like hers. I needed a larger bag and used a bag I had in my stash. First, I cut the top third of the bag off. I covered the front side with some dps from Making Memories. Next, I covered my little flap and then used my CTMH corner rounder with the sleeve off, to make my scalloped border. I used a large hole punch to make the holes for the lacing ribbon. Then I pulled out the nesties for the scalloped square. Don't you just love my Humble Pie Witchie? I made one last week just like her for my Ashlea's treat bucket. This bag is for my niece Samantha, who just turned "Sweet Sixteen" yesterday. It holds her favorite birthday present.....MONEY. Click here to check out the cupcake mini album created by Sarah, it is so adorable and creative! Also, don't forget only two days left to enter the DT Call at Practical Scrappers!!!! I want to see your altered items using punches! Have fun!!!

[hello]...

Happy Wednesday,
It is time for a new reveal from Penny's Challenges. This week Penny has a sketch for you! A really fun sketch to play with. I wanted to get to play with my new debossing folder from Cuttlebug, so I made this a winter card. I used this plum cardstock and ink on the debossing. I used pop dots behind my squares and my snowflakes, not really sure that I like that part, but I love the folder! Head on over to Penny's Challenges and play along this week. You can check out the talents of my amazing DT sisters by clicking on the link in my side bar. They rocked this challenge, as always!
Here is Penny's sketch:

This is what I came up with. Like I said, I love this folder!!

Trust Your Heart...

****SECOND POST, SCROLL DOWN FOR CAFE MOJO CARD****
I have made this card and it fits into three challenges! First, the Practical Scrappers punch challenge. I used my fancy Fiskars punch on the dp and the edge of my card. The challenge for Frosted Designs is to go 3D, and my good friend Mona, did a video tutorial on this flower for Just Us Girls (JUGS). For my flower, I used my three smallest nesties and cut three of each. I used a dp from My Mind's Eye, inked it up a little with some Tim Holtz ink, and then crumpled them up. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

When I thought about this card, I just knew this would be it! My inspiration is a card I saw last week on Wanda's blog. It was a fabby card using witch stockings. Mine are Making Memories glittery rubons. Aren't they the cutest? Get into the spirit and create a fun card, layout, or altered item and join us for a cup of mojo at Cafe Mojo this week!

Live for Today....

****SECOND POST-SCROLL DOWN FOR PRACTICAL SCRAPPERS POST****
Are you ready for a recipe challenge at Digital-Ink Co? That's what we have this week. You will use some fabric, glitter, button and a bow as your recipe for our challenge. Your fabric can consist of ribbon, felt, fabric material of any kind. This is a fun recipe and be as creative as can be! The DT had the opportunity to work with images from the fabulous Jules of Jules Junk. I had picked this adorable bear up during the Falloween Blog Hop, it was part of the Breast Cancer Awareness set. I really wanted to use this bear and I pinned a real pink ribbon over the one that is part of the image. Of course, this Life Delights pp was just calling out to be used on this card. Don't forget the 50% off sale is going on until the end of this week. Now is the time to purchase some of the fantastic images from the shoppe. Once again, the DT has some fabby cards for you to browse. You can see them here or click the links in my side bar. Be sure to leave them some love!

Here is what the little journaling tag says: "Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there. Amy Li.

Smile...

Good Sunday Morning,
First, if I haven't made my rounds to your blog, I'm sorry. I have the Little Kids this weekend. We had our Halloween party last night and we're off the Pumpkin Patch today. We're also going to drive up the mountain and take some photos with the peak leaves.
Now, on to this challenge. Today I post the second challenge from Christine at Practical Scrappers. Again, we were given this paper in 8.5 X 11 and the only guideline was to have this paper be the main paper used. I cut the polka dot into a large circle and then used my Creative Memories circle punch to create the scallop edge around it. I really wanted my flourishes to pop, so I glittered them up. I hope you are having a great Sunday!

Dream....

Good Morning,
We are having a weekend feature at Practical Scrappers. Christine sent four DT members the same paper. Our only limit was to have this paper be the main papers used on the project. She and Ang are doing this challenge also. What fun! You will have to visit Practical Scrappers to see the six different creations using the same paper. When it arrived it was 8.5 X 11, and for me, that was just a small challenge in itself. I came up with this design and I'm quite happy with it! Please be sure to visit Practical Scrappers to check it out, while there, check out the DT call and out message boards! Have a great Saturday!

Trick or Treat Humble Pie Style....

Good Friday Morning!
We have survived yet another week. Today is reveal day at Humble Pie Stamps! OH, and do we ever have a reveal for you.....
Our challenge is to make a Halloween non card project. As always, you DO NOT have to use Humble Pie Stamps. The Bakers have been really busy cooking up these spooky concoctions. You can vist them via the links on my side bar, you WILL NOT want to miss this, trust me!!!
I decided to create a Halloween pail for Ashlea. I used my little Humble Pie witch, colored her and then added some glitter to her hat and dress. I want her to be the "Diva Witch". I also added stickles to her hat and the trim of her dress. I think this really lets her 'shine'. I also used the big pumpkin and broom from Humble Pie Stamps. I used my d'vine flourishes and embossed the black cardstock. The moon is just a circle punch and my bat is from M&M Designz at Digital Ink Co. I put a little treat bag inside the pail and filled it with goodies.
I know all you creative ladies can't wait to get busy with a Halloween non card project to share with us! I can't wait to see them and you know that you are playing for a prize of $10 in Maggie Money!!!!! Don't forget, Leah posted a fabby tutorial on stamping flourishes on a transparency and decorating with pearl paints. You really MUST see her tutorial! I hope you play along with us and have a fabby Friday!

Give of Yourself...

Good Thursday Morning,
I have a fun card to share this morning. I finally got to play with my Close to My Heart September Stamp of the Month, the Treasures stamp. I have to say, I love it! I have this fabby paper from the Eyelet Outlet and I wanted to make a pretty card. I think this turned out exactly like I wanted it to. I used my smallest Creative Memories circle punch to make the scalloped border from the second print. I finished it off with some little pearls and the yummy ecru ribbon!
Have a terrific Thursday!

Jon-Christopher's Halloween Cards...

Here is a quick look at my Little Man and two of his cards. He was very proud of them. Isn't he the cutest little spook you've seen today? He spent the night at his Great Gran's last night and came back to Nee Nee's house this morning. Ashlea has worked on some art projects all day. Jon-Christopher and Unkie B have watched Wolverine all day. Anyway, before they went home, he did let me get a quick pic. I'll be back in the morning with my weekly Practical Scrappers and Digital Ink Co posts. If you haven't been over to check them out, both are revealing a new challenge tomorrow!

Blessings,

Don't Forget.....

Good Morning Ladies,
Just a reminder, we have a new challenge up at Humble Pie Stamps! Here are the deets:
The requirement of this week's challenge is to incorporate BUTTONS AND BLING into your design. Can a card ever have too many buttons or too much bling? Not in our opinion!! We know we're new on the scene so the use of a HUMBLE PIE STAMP is NOT REQUIRED for this challenge. If you have managed to get your inky fingers on one of our FAB stamps however, we would love to see it in action!
Create a new project including BUTTONS AND BLING and leave us a comment with a link to the project on your blog by midnight THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22nd EST, and you'll be eligible to win...

************ $10.00 in Humble Pie Maggie Money! ************
Come on, that is worth playing for! Don't forget, you can pick up our Humble Pie stamps at The Town Scrapper.
Have a great Sunday!
Blessings,

My Dream For You....

SECOND POST TODAY, SCROLL DOWN
Well, my Jon-Christopher came to visit today, Ashlea went with my other sister, Auntie Tee, to get her Halloween costume. Jon-Christopher and I made some of his Halloween cards. He made it through about 10 and decided he was tired. We'll finish them tomorrow he says. I think that might mean, it is yours now Nee Nee! Anyways, when he went to Granny's I got to go play in some scrapping challenges. This layout features the sketch over at Stuck on U Sketches. Isn't this a great sketch! You need to go over to there and check out their amazing DT projects, wow they are incredible!

The next challenge I am entering this one in is Frosted Designs. Three of my Practical Scrappers sisters are involved in this challenge. Meg and Jamie are the founders and team leaders. Jessica is one of the very talented DT's there. The challenge over there is to use a marquee. I really like how this layout came together. I'm loving getting some scrapping done! Don't forget to check out Stuck on U Sketches and Frosted Designs! Have a great evening!
