You're Sweet....

ETA: I just found a new digi challenge blog, Lia Stampz, this one is just perfect for it! Go check her out!
Good Afternoon,
Super busy day going on here at my house. Today is Friday and that brings two new challenges this week for you at Frosted Designs and Humble Pie Stamps. I created one project this week that incorporates both challenges.

But....before I share, I want to congratulate our winners from last week! Our super talented top 3 of the star challenge at Frosted Designs were, Laurel, Hannah, and Jess, check them out!

Our winner of the one embellishment challenge at Humble Pie last week was the super talented Maria, she had the cutest "messy" snowman project, be sure to visit her!

Alright then, the new challenge at Frosted Designs is to use your own handwriting on your project. I wrote on the two tags, "You're Sweet". Everyone always compliments my handwriting, remember, I am a teacher, and have years of practice at "neat" writing.

Our challenge at Humble Pie this week is to make an easel card. Can someone wonk me on the head for not trying these earlier???? I had no idea how super simple these cards were until the Lovely Lisa, my fellow Baker, posted her tutorial on the HP blog. You can check it out here.

Another lucky winner will receive "Sitting Ellie", exclusive to The Town Scrapper!
And "ANGEL MAGGIE" is back by popular demand! EVERY participant for this challenge will receive the Angel Maggie digi via email - if we haven't sent her to you already, please be sure to leave a comment with your email address! Blessings with Angel Maggie....

***SECOND POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FROSTED DESIGNS CARD***
And as promised, here I am back with my Humble Pie Stamps card. I so love this Angel Maggie! She is so much fun to work with and as always, Humble Pie is so very versatile! This time I wanted her in shades of purple. Our challenge this week is to use only one embellishment, use as many of it as you like, but only one kind! I knew I wanted to do the purple bling, so we have the lovely lavender angel.

Here is what you're playing for this week! You'll receive this incredible Umbrella Ellie in EZ mount rubber and a few other goodies. To get your own Humble Pie Stamps, please visit Phebe at The Town Scrapper. Please check out the what my fellow Bakers have cooked up this week! I have them linked up on my side bar.
And one more item of interest, Ashlea's cheer squad won their competition! Here is a quick pic of her squad during a timeout. She is the little one in the front right corner.
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful day!

Good Morning,
Today is Friday and that brings a new challenge at Humble Pie Stamps. We have a tool challenge this week. We want to see what you can do with your Spellbinders!

Phebe is now carrying Spellbinder in her store, The Town Scrapper. Remember she has a buy one get one for half off sale until February 14. If the dh happens to forget the day of love, give Phebe a call and order up some goodies! Please take a peek at what the other Bakers in the kitchen cooked up using Spellbinders. Introducing Angel Maggie...

Good Morning,
Are you ready to meet my new little friend? Before I introduce her, she is a Humble Pie Exclusive and can only be found at The Town Scrapper! I'd like you to meet, Angel Maggie.....

Isn't she just the cutest? I think she is the most adorable angel ever. There is something about the peacefulness she brings to me. I had to do her up with some pretty posies and some vintage CTMH papers, all of which are OLD....and that is exactly the challenge at Raise the Bar this week, drag out some old stash and use it! Also, Flutterby Wednesday's wants to see angels.
Everyone who played along with us last week is getting this precious little image. Remember, if you want one, she is only available at The Town Scrapper! AND....it just so happens that Phebe is still having her buy 1 get 1 half sale. Click here for more info....
Be sure to visit my fellow Baker's. I have them linked up in my left side bar. They have some beautiful Angels to share too!

Humble Pie, Frosted Designs, and Royalty...

Good Afternoon!
This post is serving three different ones for today. I was totally MIA yesterday, as it was a very hectic day at school. The "Big Wigs" were visiting us all day, observing and interviewing teachers and students. This was a very stressful day and week leading up to "the visit". Now we await the review results....
When school was over, we drove an hour away to Ashlea's school. She was representing her fourth grade class in Homecoming Court. At her school, one representative from 4-7 grade is crowned Princess and the Queen is chose from the eighth grade representatives. It is my great pleasure to announce the 2010 Fourth Grade Homecoming Princess....Miss Ashlea Little, my gorgeous niece! I'm so proud of her!

This first card is my weekly DT card at Humble Pie. This week we are using at least 5 flowers on our cards. I had this beautiful My Mind's Eye paper left on my table from the weekend. I wanted to use the scraps and this is what came out. I used the lovely Flower Maggie, colored her with my CTMH markers and added some pretty little posies. You know these delicious bakers have links on the side bar. Be sure to visit their in their kitchen to see what they are cooking up. I can't wait to see your flower projects.

This last one is my weekly project for Frosted Designs. This week we asking you to use embossing on your project. You can dry emboss or pull out the trusty heat gun. I chose to do both. I used the dvine cuttlebug folder on the inner white cardstock circle. I highlighted it with ink and glimmer mist. Then I used the second generation technique to stamp the lips, this gave them a lighter color than the liner. I used clear embossing over them to give a "glossy" effect. You know I've got the fabby Frosted Designers linked up in my side bar. They've got inspiration galore for you today. Be sure to give them some love. I know I'll find inspiration from your creations too!

Be Mine

Today is a brand new challenge day at Humble Pie too! This week we have a LOVE challenge too! You need to use red, white, pink and hearts on your project. Boy did I have fun with this one! This darling little image shows Miss Maggie getting her first sweetness! It just screams "Be Mine."
I've had these hearts from long ago. I thought they were just perfect for this darling little card. So now it's your turn to show us your creations!! Don't forget to visit the Baker's in my side bar. Oh, have they cooked up some sweetness for you! Leave them some love too!

To a Special Friend...

Good Morning,
Today is Friday and that means a new challenge at Humble Pie! Did you have fun with the flourishes last week? You guys created some incredible projects. Thank you all for playing!

This week our challenge it to use bling, at least two different types of bling! I went for pearls and gemstones. I used some Key to My Heart papers and markers from CTMH on this little Maggie. I placed a teeny poesy in her hand. She is a special little lady who is on her way as we speak to another special lady! I hope you'll get the bling on with us this week at Humble Pie. I have links to all my baking sisters in the side bar, please visit them today and give them some good love for the inspiration they will surely provide.

Come back at 12:00 noon ET or 9:00 am PT to check out the Rockin' Blog hop with SSD!

I wanted to make this a Valentine card, so I pulled out some old My Mind's Eye yummy papers and this card just came together so easily. What do you think of her, isn't she delightful?

Tag.....You're It...

Good Morning,
I'm running way late with this post. I've got to be short this morning....I'm trying to sneak and do it while at school...giggles. Today is a new challenge at Humble Pie Stamps. Your challenge this week is to make anything that will be last minute, a tag, bookmark, etc. I wanted so badly to make a tag using this darling little candy cane from the Sweetie Pie line. I used lots of glitter to make it pop. Again, I used the PTI fold and go box. Be sure to check out what the other Baker's have cooked up this week. You can see their yummy creations here.

Joy at Humble Pie...

Happy Friday,
Tonight is our annual Christmas in the Park celebration. All the kiddos in our county come to a park in town for evening with Santa. They get to have pictures with him, see Ronald McDonald, the Oscar Meyer Weeniemobile, a live nativity, how Civil War Soldiers celebrated Christmas, there are inflatable slides and other toys, caroling, hot cocoa and apple cider, and SO much more. I always help out with the treat bags. I love seeing these little kids come in with all the excitement of the season in their eyes.

So now onto this card.... It is Friday and that is a new challenge day at Humble Pie Stamps. Our Bakers have challenged you to use dry embossing on your cards and projects this week. How much fun!!!! I had just gotten this new snowflake folder last weekend. Yay, I got to play. I love using the snowmen from the Sweetie Pie Collection that you can find at The Town Scrapper. Please see Phebe's sale at the top of my side bar. Be sure to check out the other Baker's work for this week and leave them some love. I'm sure they are busy in the kitchen and would love to hear from you.
Just a close up of the snowman and the embossing. I used some diamond stickles on there too!

A Humble Lift...

Good Friday Morning,
Today brings a brand new challenge at Humble Pie Stamps. Oh, don't forget, the Town Scrapper has a buy one, get one of equal or lesser value at 50% off!!! Don't miss that fabby sale!
Our challenge this week is to lift one of the Chef Kim B's cards. You may go to her personal blog or lift something that is her's on the Humble Pie blog. Here is the card I chose to lift. I loved her design and the circle elements of this darling card.

And here is my Christmas lift. I chose to use the Christmas wreath from the wonderful Sweetie Pie set. I wanted to have lots of shimmer on this card, so I colored the wreath with my green pencils, then let the Martha Stewart glitter cut loose! I'm really happy with the outcome. I added some little poinsettia's touched with stickles. The little flourish is painted with acrylic paint and then spritzed with glimmer mist. I cut my circles with my nesties.
You must check out what the other baker's have cooked up for this fun challenge. You can visit them at Humble Pie and via the link's on my side bar. Give them so love!
Play along with the bakers this week and cook up some fun!

Monochromatic Wishes...

Happy Black Friday!
I hope you all had a Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you were surrounded by family, friends, and have good memories to scrapbook.
Today is a new challenge at Humble Pie. This week, you are challenged to go monochromatic. I can't wait for you to see what the Baker's are serving up this week. I think this has been my favorite challenge. Please be sure to click the links in my side bar and share some love with my sisters.
Now to reveal my card.
I used one of Maggie's snowfriends from the winter Sweetie Pie images. Don't you just love this snowman? I colored with watercolor pencils and then added lots of glitter. I know it is difficult to see the glitter in the photo. I used three different shades of blue glitter, some sparkly white on the top of his hat and broom. Then to shadow the side of his body, I lightly shaded with a pale blue and white glitter. You know I had to use my favorite folder and glimmer mist on this one too. The sentiment is looking a tad bit green in the photo, but it is a lighter shade of blue and I sprinkled fine white glitter on it as well.

****BIG SALE****
If you hop on over to the Town Scrapper, you will be able to take advantage of a great sale just in time for Christmas! Phebe is running a special, buy one item and get the second of equal or lesser value for 50% off. WOW, what a time to stock up on wonderful stamps and supplies! Be sure to check out this sale running now through mid January 2010.

Rock and Roll Humble Pie Style.....

****Second Post Today, Please Scroll Down for Penny's Challenges Card****
Rock and Roll Stamp Technique Tutorial for Humble Pie Stamps
I'm using these supplies to make a beautiful fall card, did you notice the Easter Eggs? Well, they will make my pumpkin, really! I was inspired to use the egg stamp from something Boni did a while back.

Step 1, is to load up your stamp with base color. Stamp image onto cardstock.

Step 2, after cleaning the stamp, roll the edges in a darker color, being careful to ink only the outer edges. Align the stamp over the base color image and stamp.

Step 3, cut your images out.

Step 4, adhere the pieces together using your favorite adhesive.

Step 5, cut the card to your desired measurements. Use your favorite embellies, stamps, and ribbons to complete the card. Here is my finished card using Easter egg stamps and the rock and roll stamping technique. I hope you give it a try. It does take just a little practice, but it gives a great touch to your images. Have fun!

Snowing...Humble Pie

Good Friday Morning,
Yep, it is Friday and that means Humble Pie has a new challenge up! Thanks to everyone who played last week! This week the lovely Bakers have a sketch for you.

Here is the card I came up with. I've had this snowflake paper for so long. It was perfect for Maggie's little snowfriend. This is one of our new Sweetie Pie images. Be sure to check out the Towne Scrapper to purchase yours.

I used up some Heidi Swapp snowflake rubons, used my cricut to cut some snowflakes, added some bling and ribbon, and I love my snowman card! What can I say, they make my heart melt.
Here is a close up of my little guy. I used black stickles on his eyes, mouth, and buttons. Now its your turn to give this sketch a go. Remember, as always, we have $10 in Maggie Money as the fabby prize! Have a great day!
