true talent....

Good Morning,

Just a quick post today. I used the current Creative Scrappers sketch #125 to create this layout for Aaron's band book.

It will be a companion page to the one I posted on Thursday. I used cardstocks from CTMH, the music sheet and the notes are from Hobby Lobby, the bling is Prima, I made the spiral flower from ctmh cardstock. I also added some Sparkle Mod Podge to the blue embossed circles. The alphas are some from my huge stash and I used a silver Sharpie to write the word true.

Kindergarten, Here I Come...

It is Monday morning and a new challenge is up at Practical Scrappers. This week you are going to be challenged to use alphabet stickers on your layout, but not in the title. Hmmmm, this may cause you to think outside the box! I had fun with this one. I knew as soon as I saw this sketch at Creative Scrappers, exactly what I wanted to do. Now, it it is your turn to pull out your alphabet stickers and get practical!

Those Eyes....

I hope your week is off and running in a good direction! Quick post this morning! Here's a two pager I did for the Creative Scrappers sketch 62. I've been wanting to do a page with my Little Kids eyes for a while. These are still not the exact thing I had in mind, but I LOVE how they turned out!! I played with the color saturation just a little on these, they are not all the way black & white and not all color either. I really am pleased with the end product! I hope you enjoy!

Fun in the Sun...

Good Friday All,
I have a fun page to share today. I had the Little Kids all last week. We had and still have the Slip-n-Slide in my front yard. This layout is of that FUN day we spent together. Last Day...

Good Wednesday,
Well, today is the last day of our retreat :( Like all goods things, it has come to an end. We'll be leaving around 3 this afternoon. I got an early start, it is 5:47 and I'm trying to get this Savannah book finished.
My post this morning is using the Creative Scrappers sketch 59. I used all Blue Awning from K & Co for this page. The pearls are from Hobby Lobby, the font is Storybook by Cricut. I really love the simplicity of this page.

Good Thursday Morning,
Well, the holiday weekend is almost here! I am going to our lake house in Tennessee for the weekend to celebrate the 4th of July. On Sunday, some friends and I are going to Whispering Winds (located in Pigeon Forge, TN) for a scrapbook retreat! Go over to their link and check it out. We went in October and it is just the perfect house for scrapbooking and the accommodations are just heavenly!
Anyways, here is my take on the Creative Scrappers Sketch 58. I had a lot of fun with this sketch! I pulled out some pics of my little Ashlea from Tybee two years ago and almost wept at just how she has grown and changed in the past two years.

Creative Scrappers DT Call...

Good Morning,

I noticed that the folks over at Creative Scrappers were having a DT call and thought I'd join in for some summer fun! My inspirtation for this layout came from the challenge over at 2 Red Bananas. Their challenge this week is to be inspired by the beach photo below. I was totally inspired to scrap my Jon-Chrisptoher playing in the sand on Tybee Island.
