A Humble Lift...

Good Friday Morning,
Today brings a brand new challenge at Humble Pie Stamps. Oh, don't forget, the Town Scrapper has a buy one, get one of equal or lesser value at 50% off!!! Don't miss that fabby sale!
Our challenge this week is to lift one of the Chef Kim B's cards. You may go to her personal blog or lift something that is her's on the Humble Pie blog. Here is the card I chose to lift. I loved her design and the circle elements of this darling card.

And here is my Christmas lift. I chose to use the Christmas wreath from the wonderful Sweetie Pie set. I wanted to have lots of shimmer on this card, so I colored the wreath with my green pencils, then let the Martha Stewart glitter cut loose! I'm really happy with the outcome. I added some little poinsettia's touched with stickles. The little flourish is painted with acrylic paint and then spritzed with glimmer mist. I cut my circles with my nesties.
You must check out what the other baker's have cooked up for this fun challenge. You can visit them at Humble Pie and via the link's on my side bar. Give them so love!
Play along with the bakers this week and cook up some fun!

More From the Halloween Party...

Good Thursday Morning,
I hope you're having a great week so far! I'm looking forward to 3:00 today, my weekend will begin then. Ashlea is in a cheer and dance competition in Gatlinburg, TN this weekend. It is the Christmas parade there, with over 80,000 expected in attendance. My 13th anniversary is on December 7, so the Honeybee and I rented a chalet in the mountains. We'll be celebrating while in Gatlinburg.
Anyways, here are the next two pages in my Little Kids Halloween mini album. This first one is Ashlea's favorite (this year) movie of this Halloween. Both kids loved it and probably watched it at least 5 times.

This second one shows their decorations outside on my front porch. They choose the decorations and actually helped get the tree, the other outside pumpkin lights, and the big spider up. We really had such a fantastic time.

Next on the agenda is the annual gingerbread house sleep over. That will probably be next weekend. We have a yummy time then too!

Ashlea's Christmas Tree

Good Morning,
Today I want to share what I've been working one in Ashlea's room (here at my house). Being a
"tween" she wanted a white tree. Of course, Nee Nee got the white tree. Her room is hot pink, lime green, and aqua blue. So, I got these fun aqua balls...
'
lime green icicles...
and I cut these hot pink snowflakes from my Christmas Solutions cartridge at 3 inches. I think I cut 24 of them! Some are tied with silver ribbons and others are just hanging on the tree.
Here is the 5 inch snowflake topper...
And the tree when finished!
She loved it! However, she's only seen it in pictures. Remember, she lives an hour away!

Frosty Snowflakes Anyone?

Good Frosty Morning,
Baby its cold outside this morning, about 26 degrees! That'll get you in the mood for a cozy fire and some Christmas music! I have two adorable snowflakes to share this morning. These were posted yesterday on the daily feature at Practical Scrappers, and they work for the Design Dollies challenge today! My snowflakes were cut with the Christmas Solutions cartridge, at 5 inches. I used Bazzill white cardstock, CTMH ink, some bling, glimmer mist, and diamond stickles, and tied them up with the ribbon from the stash.
This one is baby blue topped with diamond stickles. This is going to hang on the tree of my newest family member, baby Braxton, who is celebrating his first Christmas. I have written his name, first Christmas, and the year on the back of the ornament.

This one is for my Pastor's daughter. She just gave birth (early) about 5 weeks ago. I inked this one with some pink, glitzed it with glimmer mist pearl, and added some Heidi Swapp pink blings. I'll write baby Hannah's name, year, and first Christmas on the back of this one too.
I hope the little detail is visible in these pix. Try to think about what you have on your cricut and how you can use it to help you out this season! Enjoy!!!!

So why am I posting Halloween? My friends and I scrapped at church this weekend. I got many Christmas cards completed and began my Little Kids Halloween book.

Monochromatic Wishes...

Happy Black Friday!
I hope you all had a Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you were surrounded by family, friends, and have good memories to scrapbook.
Today is a new challenge at Humble Pie. This week, you are challenged to go monochromatic. I can't wait for you to see what the Baker's are serving up this week. I think this has been my favorite challenge. Please be sure to click the links in my side bar and share some love with my sisters.
Now to reveal my card.
I used one of Maggie's snowfriends from the winter Sweetie Pie images. Don't you just love this snowman? I colored with watercolor pencils and then added lots of glitter. I know it is difficult to see the glitter in the photo. I used three different shades of blue glitter, some sparkly white on the top of his hat and broom. Then to shadow the side of his body, I lightly shaded with a pale blue and white glitter. You know I had to use my favorite folder and glimmer mist on this one too. The sentiment is looking a tad bit green in the photo, but it is a lighter shade of blue and I sprinkled fine white glitter on it as well.

Happy Thanksgiving....

Good Morning,
Today is Thanksgiving Day. I want to wish all of you the most Blessed day. I have such heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and every person I've met since I began blogging. You have all touched my life in such positive ways, I'm sending big hugs to you all today. Enjoy your family, friends, and good food.
I've had a bad virus on my computer since this weekend, so I've only been doing the bare necessities on it. I want to apologize for not stopping by your blogs. I do think it is finally removed, after having at least three different techs working on it. So, I'll be trying to catch up this evening and tomorrow. The ladies at my church are having a weekend crop in the fellowship hall, can't wait for that!
Today is altered item day at Practical Scrappers. I chose a store bought tag from last year. I removed the top image, added a bling candy cane, some ink, used deco scissors to cut an edge, stamped the To and From on it, and used a pen to add my stitches. I've got several of these to do as I begin my shopping. Let's see your projects for stitching!
Blessings,
