"Younique"

Good Morning,
I'm a day late getting this posted. This is the sketch for Sketches in Thyme Challenge #20. Once again we are using a sketch by Scrapbooksetc.com, sketch #5. I used this one twice already and can see myself using over and over!

I had won a FABULOUS blog candy at my friend, Brenda's, blog. I received it this past weekend and just knew this yummy Cosmo Cricket paper was just perfect for these new photos I had taken of my little kids.

The Honeybee and I had taken the kids on a fall drive across the Little Shepherd's Trail, a 14 mile scenic trail across one of the highest mountains in our region. The leaves weren't exactly at peak color, but we had such a wonderful day driving, laughing, taking photos and enjoying the scenic overlooks.

Stop by here to see what the rest of the Marvelous Mavens have created with this sketch! Have a fabby Friday!

Good Friends....

Good Morning,
Today is Monday and that means a new challenge is up at Practical Scrappers, and this week we want to see your stitching....

I used a ctmh pen to create my faux stitches around the title and a machine to stitch on the felt. All papers are Cosmo Cricket, the bloom is from stash and the bling is from Michael's.

Don't forget our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs, post your stitching projects by 5:00 pm on Saturday....
Visit the rest of the dt all week to check out the fabulous inspiration they have for you!!!
Have a great Monday...

you guys...

Good Morning,

I'm trying to get back into my regular habits of reading and posting early. My honeybee came home from PA around 10:30 on Saturday night, he even had to miss Jon-Christopher's birthday party on Sat. We've tried to just spend quality time together. He left this morning at 3:30 am going to WV. I went back to bed and I've slept in a bit....

Anywho, I'm sharing a double layout I created for my friends retirement album. This is probably one of my favorites for the album so far.

Everything used is Cosmo Cricket except the bling, flowers, and buttons. I'm really enjoying working on this book.
Have a great day!!!

and 1 girl....

Good Morning,
Today is Monday and that means a brand new challenge at Practical Scrappers!!!! This week our challenge is to use stash that is older than one year. Well, that is really easy to do, since I have such a "hoarding stash", please tell me I'm not alone!!!!!
So, here is what I did....I was inspired to use this line of papers for my Frosted Designs challenge this week, border punches. While that layout came together, I had the idea to make it a double page, so here ya go...
And here are both layouts together. The little felt on the sides act as pull tabs for the hidden journaling behind the photos. The titles read, "my 2 boys & 1 girl"
Our sponsor this month at PS is Digi Doodles, the winner will receive three free digis.
You have until 5:00 pm Saturday, July 24 to enter. Oh, and don't forget to check out what my fellow dt sisters did with this one!!!!

My 2 Boys....

Good Morning,

I just have a quick post this morning as I'm still painting....
The new challenge this week at Frosted Designs is to use border punches!!!! We love our punches don't we. Here is my layout....

I used my EK Success corner rounder with the guard off to create my scalloped border. I love using in that way!!!
This is already a favorite of mine. Why? you ask, well, it is my two boys last week while boating. Jon-Christopher (dark hair) will be six on July 22 and Hunter (blonde) was six in April.
I used all Cogsmo Cosmo Cricket supplies on this one. The ink and staples are CTMH & the felt border is from stash. I put the journaling on a tag and attached the felt to pull it out.
Don't forget this yummy July prize!!!! All you have to do to win it, is PLAY along!!!!

Please visit my fabby frosted sisters and check out the fantabulous inspiration they have for you today!!!! I hope to see your creations this week.

Surprise.....

Good Morning,
Today is reveal day at Sketches in Thyme!!!!! We have another wonderful sketch by Monma for your scrappy pleasures this week!

Don't you adore this one?
Here is my take on it, I moved the embellies to the side as this is an 8 X 8 album. I love this size!

This is another page for my friends retirement album. I'm using up a kit of Cosmo Cricket that is at least 2.5 years old. I have foolishly been "saving" for the "just right" photos.....well, this is just right!
We have this great CTMH stamp set up for grabs this week! AND....if we get 18 participants, there will be an additional "Mystery Prize" added. I hope to see you playing along this week!
Have a great Thursday, I'm painting up a "Civil War" room for my little man...he is so excited, he usually shares his big sissy's (pink and lime green) room when he visits. Now he will be a big boy and have his own "Silver War" room. You gotta love it! I'll share photos later when I'm finished. I'm pulling up carpets and everything so it will be a while.

Celebrate friend....

Good Morning,
Today I have a sketch from Ally Scraps,
Isn't this a fun sketch? I loved it!!!!
I used this sketch for this page,

This is a retirement album I'm making for a first grade teacher I used to work with. She retired at the end of this past school year. She is a wonderful friend and I know she'll enjoy her retirement!
Everything on this page is Cosmo Cricket except the pearls and they are from Recollections. I used some Tim Holtz walnut distress inks on all the edges. So this will also fit into two challenges at Pages in Time for July!
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Practical Scrappers Sketch....Wonder

Good Saturday Morning,
I hope you are all ready for a day filled with sunshine. At least I hope you are getting my weather today. We are expecting close to 70 and all sunshine! My little man, Jon-Christopher, plays in his last Jr. Pro game today and they will have a "Trophy Ceremony" after the game. You would think my five year old nephew is about to cash in the winning lottery ticket. Oh the joys and innocence of childhood.
Here's the sketch at Practical Scrappers this weekend by Ann Katrin. She is so very talented in designing these fabulous sketches.

I had this photo of Ashlea from Easter 2003. She is giving the little shy look in this one.

I used some really old rub-ons for my flourishes. The title is by Glitz Designs. My papers are all Kaitlin from Cosmo Cricket. My flowers are CTMH and Prima. The inks are Tim Holtz and the brad is from stash.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Beautiful Girl...

Who is excited to see this week's challenge at Practical Scrappers? Well, this week you need to pull out vellum. You know, we all have it hidden in a drawer, in a paper stash, or in a quote book. Now is the time to dust it off and put it to use on a layout or card. I pulled mine out, I'm quite sure it is at least three years old, and put it in the Cricut. I used the Storybook to cut flourishes from my vellum. First I tried using the low pressure but it didn't cut completely through it. I then changed it to medium pressure and perfect cuts. Don't worry the Cricut will take care of your vellum....
I know you have it in your possession, now is the time to surrender and put it to use. Don't forget to share on the PS Mr. Linky! By the way, this is my 'Beautiful Girl, Ashlea'

Timeless Beauty....

Good Friday Morning,
Today I am posting a mini album that is just so precious to
me. The title is Timeless Beauty. This is an album I created
to document all the "old" beautiful things I hold so dear to
my heart. The things in this album include 50 year old roses,
quilts from my Great-Grandmothers, trees that my Grandpa
carried out of the forests nearly 50 years ago, etc. It ends with
my Granny, who will be 83 in August. I really wanted 'old'
things with this delicious Fleuriste paper and embellies from
Cosmo Cricket. I think it turned out just the way I had hoped it
would.
I hope you enjoy!

Recipe: Everything is Cosmo Cricket except brads from stash, staples, and 7 Gypsy's rings
