Let Your Light Shine.....

Good Wednesday Morning,
Well, you know that Wednesday brings a brand new challenge from my friend, Penny! This week the super talented ladybug is giving you a color challenge. Look at these yummy shades. Now, you do not have to have the CTMH colors, find something close to these and let your inner crafting diva go wild!

I love this card! I used a cute shaped chipboard star to trace the pattern onto my yellow cardstock. I cut, embossed, and distressed them. I also popped them up from the card with pop dots, you may can't tell that in the photo. To keep the card simple, I stamped my sentiment and used an edge anchor from CTMH and ta da....I'm very pleased with it. My inspiration for this card came from all my girls over at the Unscripted team. That was a great sketch this week, thanks for the inspiration. Now, I want to see your fun projects with this great color combo. Be sure to check out my creative sisters projects via the links on my side bar. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Cherish Us...

Good Tuesday Morning,
First, if I missed your blog reading yesterday, we are having report card conferences after school this week. I may be hit and miss on my reading all week, and I'm sorry to be missing you guys.
Today is card reveal day at Practical Scrappers. I used my CTMH pearl create a shade paint and twilight reinkers to make my pearly blue paint. Don't you love that soft shimmer on those hearts?
This is a close up of the shimmery paint on the chipboard hearts. I love this stuff!
I used just the pearl paint to dry brush a little over the swirls. Just for some shimmery effects. I cut my base card in a circle then used my nesties to cut the scalloped circles, tied on a sheer bow and added a pearl head pin. This was so much fun do. Now, I want to see your paint projects.
Don't forget to subscribe to the message boards at Practical Scrappers to do our online crop this weekend. Kerri has some awesome things planned and I know you will not want to miss it!
This card also fits in the JUGS embossing challenge this week. My good friend, Mona is on the DT there and she is one of the most inspirational designers I know. Please give her a shout and leave some love!

You Color My World....

****SECOND POST, SEE BELOW FOR DIGITAL INK CHALLENGE****
There are lots exciting things happening at Practical Scrappers. We are still accepting your fall or Halloween layouts, cards, and altered projects until 5:00 TODAY pm for the Guest Design Team member. I sure hope to see yours there. I haven't checked yet today, but thanks Teri, Diana, Wanda, and Tanya for sending in projects! Also, Kerri, my co dt leader is hosting an online crop this weekend. Check out the message boards for all the deets. She's got lots of fun planned.
Alright, now on to the challenge this week at Practical Scrappers. Pull out the acrylic paint for you layouts this week. I used some really old Making Memories moss green for this layout. I painted behind the photos and used just a swipe or two of nutmeg as a distressing ink touch to the edges of the polka dot paper. I painted both nutmeg flowers too. This was a lot of fun! Pull out your paints and let's see what you can do with them this week!

Family...

Good Monday Morning,
I have had a late start this morning, some major blogger issues. I think all is well now. Today is Digital Ink Co challenge day. Check this out...

Isn't this a fabby prize!!!! This week, our lovely leaders have a sketch for some inspiration for us.

And here is the card I was inspired to do. My creator this week is Whimsy Design Studio. I absolutely love this beautiful cornucopia. I colored it with my CTMH markers and love how it turned out. My dp is from my stash. I used my Creative Memories ovals to cut my mats and embossed each, then added some CTMH distressing ink to the edges. My yummy ribbon is also CTMH. My sentiment epoxy sticker is from my stash of goodies from last year. That fabby border punch is none other than my favorite Martha Stewart punch. I hope this inspires you to create a wonderful fall or Christmas card. Don't forget to visit my oh so creative sisters at DICO. You can link to them via my side bar. Have a blessed Monday! I'll be back in a few with my Practical Scrappers layout.

Would You LIke To Be Guest Designer?

Good Morning,
That's right, Practical Scrappers is having a weekend feature calling for Guest Designers to submit projects. Here is what you need to do:

Here's how to enter - pick your favorite fall themed project (Halloween, Thanksgiving, anything to do with fall) and enter it. It doesn't even have to be new - it can be old - we just want to see your inspiring work. We will pick a card winner, a layout winner, and maybe one more for altered projects if there are enough entries. Deadline to post your project is Monday at 5:00 pm ET.

Thanks to all those who have already sent in some incredible projects! Hope to see yours later today!
