What's Cooking?....

Good Morning,
I hope you are all well this Wednesday morning! That's right, it is Wednesday and that means a new challenge from Penny's Challenges. This week Penny wants to see fruits and veggies. We're sponsored by Sassy Studio. I used this domestic diva image, isn't she the coolest? I wish I were that pretty while cooking! I used up some Sassafras scraps on this and challenged myself to not use flowers. You have got to see what the rest of the fabby dt has come up with. Give the a visit and some love!

Also, today is a new challenge up at The Sisterhood. My incredible sister, Darlene is hosting. She has an awesome tutorial for you on waxed paper resist. I didn't get a card created for this one, but wow, wait until you see what my fabby sisters have done with it!

Don't forget to visit Sketches In Thyme to meet the newest Maven today!

Two Cards Today...

Good Morning,
I have another double post today. First, I'm sharing my post for Penny's Challenges. This time, Penny has a recipe for us to follow: 1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers and three embellishments. I still had the Key to my Heart papers out and used scraps for this one. I made another of the punched flowers. I think it is just perfect on this card. Please drop by my super talented design sisters and leave them some love.

Next up is our new challenge at The Sisterhood. Our lovely hostess this week is Linda, she has a fun theme for you, YOU CRACK ME UP! This can be anything funny, a card, layout, or fun project. I used this great Dustin Pike image for this card. Doesn't this little fellow look like he needs to relax? These are CTMH papers and the ribbon and buttons are from stash.
Now, you need to see the inspiration that my sistahs have for you, I promise, you'll giggle when browsing. Be sure to give them so love.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! Play along with us this week and have FUN!!!

Celebrate...

Good Morning,
Today is Wednesday, and I'll have two post for you today. The first is the reveal at Penny's Challenges. Penny's theme for this week is open, that's right, anything goes..... how fun does that sound?
I decided to go with this gorgeous large mask that can be picked up here. I knew I wanted the purple, gold, and black theme. I used a gold metallic gel pen for the feathers and just colored in with wispy short strokes, hopefully you think it resembles feathers. I added three purple stones in the upper corner, a touch of ribbon, and a punched border.

All of the cardstock is CTMH, ink, stamps, and markers are CTMH and American Crafts, ribbon and bling are from stash.
Well, are you ready to share your fun projects, need more inspiration, be sure to visit my super talented dt sisters. I have them linked up in my sidebar. Be sure to give them some happy love today!
Come back in a bit, I'll have a reveal for The Sisterhood!

Hoppy Easter....

SECOND POST, SCROLL FOR THE SISTERHOOD SOCIAL
Today is another new challenge up at Penny's Challenges. Penny wants to see your Easter themed projects this week. So, I pulled out some really old Mullberry paper, kind of did a little free hand on the bunny, wet the mullberry along the edges I wanted to tear and look how cute this bunny is! This was a very simple layout. I cut the title using Cuttin' Up cart. The cardstock is CTMH, the dps are very old were just in my stash. I used a Martha punch and my white gelly roll pen. I also just used my finger and some pink chalk to make the pink in his ears and cheeks. For some fun I gave him some wiggly eyes and a button nose.

My incredibly talented sisters at Penny's have some beautiful cards and projects to offer inspiration. You must head over to visit them and leave them some love!

Happy Birthday, Sister...

Good Morning,
Such an exciting day! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you celebrate in a scrappy way today! :-)
Penny has a new challenge up this week at Penny's Challenges. This go around we want to see some birthday projects. I made a mini tag album to celebrate the love I have for my middle sister, Teresa. All of the paper used in this book is Chatterbox. The ribbon, buttons, and brads, and clips are all stash. The flowers are Prima. You can tell I really let loose on the distressing inks, you all know I love to ink. The stamps are from CTMH.

Now it is you turn to pull some birthday goodies out and get scrapping. Don't forget to visit my super talented dt sisters, I have them linked up in the sidebar. Leave them a bit of love today!

so lucky.....

Good Morning,
Have you been over to visit The Sisterhood this morning? You just never know who is going to pop up. I hope you are enjoying getting to know the sisters!

Well, it is Wednesday and a Going Green challenge at Penny's Challenges. First, I want to congratulate our birthday challenge winner, Hazel! Her card was simply stunning. Thanks to ALL of you who played along last time. I get so much pleasure and inspiration from visiting you!

We are going green for St. Patty's Day. I wanted to do a clean and simple card for this one. I'm always inspired by those kind of cards! I used a white cardstock and inked the edges, used some Clover Green cardstock to mat the embossed and chalked flourishes. The ribbon is from my stash, I stamped the little shamrock, cut it out and used a glue dot to attach it to the ribbon. I added some little green bling to the corner. All the ink and stamps I used are CTMH.
Here is a little close up of the shamrock and the green chalking! Don't forget, we are using chalks and inks over at Practical Scrappers this week!
Please visit my design team sisters, I have them linked up to my side bar, and you'll be GREEN with inspiration! I do hope you'll play along with us this time!

Party On!

Good Morning,
I don't even want to talk about the snow we are getting this week! Go Away!!!!!! The good thing about that is that I have the Little Kids with me! Of course, we're scrappin'!
Today is a new challenge over at Penny's Challenges, remember, this challenge is bi-weekly now. We want to see birthday projects this go around. I wanted to use this sketch from Midnight Madness:
and I'm really into using up my scraps right now, so I pulled out some Emporium papers for this one. I always need masculine cards and this one works! It was rather simple, but I love simple! So head on over to Penny's Challenges and show us your birthday projects. Be sure to visit my dt sister's links, you'll be inspired to get creating those birthday projects! Until tomorrow, stay warm and happy scrapping!

Sweetheart....

Good Morning,
It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Penny's Challenges. This week Penny wants to see projects with a Valentine/Love theme. I was cleaning up in the scrappy space yesterday and came across this little round tin. It was actually a tin that paper clips had come in. I think it was something my mom had brought to me from drug reps at the clinic. Anyways, I was inspired to decorate it up and put some candies in it for the Honeybee. This is a side view to take in the dps and the sweet ribbon trim.
I hope you are inspired to create something all about love today. I have my incredible DT sisters linked up in my side bar to the left. Take a peek at the "lovely" inspiration they have for you!

I Love You...

Good Morning,
Today is Wednesday, and that is time for a new challenge for Penny's Challenges. Before I get to the challenge, thanks to all of you who played along in our chalk challenge. This week you need to use inchies on your project. I kind of struggled with this one. I was so focused on the image being an inchie. Then I remembered this punch by Creative Memories and it all fell together. This is a very simple card, but I love it! Don't forget to visit my team sisters and leave them some love. Their links are in my side bar. You are certain to find inspiration once you arrive! I hope you'll play along with us!

Two Cards, One Post....

Good Wednesday Morning,
Today I'm sharing two cards with you. This first card is for Creations By Penny. Penny has her new digi shop up and running. Click here for all the details. This fun gumball machine is one of her latest additions. I knew immediately that I wanted to use my CTMH Animal Cookies paper with it. My idea was to have one red gumball, I know it is kind of difficult to tell, but there is just one in there, hence the sentiment, "You're One of a Kind". I also painted some liquid glass over the image. That was hard to photograph, but it looks great irl...
I love this fun card. What do you think? Check out the inspiration of my DT sisters here. These ladies have some fabby cards to share.

Next up is my bi-weekly challenge card for Penny's Challenges. On this challenge, you need to use chalk. Now there is a technique I've not touched in a while. I printed out this fabulous fire heart from Creations by Penny and chalked it up. I blended red and two lighter shades of pink to achieve this look. I think it is soft and perfect for this card. My dps and sentiment are My Mind's Eye, brads and ink are CTMH, and ribbon is from stash. Are you ready to pull out your chalk and get busy? I hope so, here is some amazing inspiration from my DT sisters. I love what they came up with, you will not want to miss it!

Let It Snow....

Good Wednesday Morning,
You know what Wednesday brings, a new challenge from Penny, at Penny's Challenges! Beginning this week, Penny's Challenges will be bi-weekly. This week we want to see Christmas stars. I love this little snowman by Simple Doodles. He has the most adorable little personality. His buttons are stars and I love the star on his hat. I wanted to go all monochromatic on this one. I chose a blue pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket, used the snowflake embossing folder, and some glimmer mist. I used some Martha Stewart glitters to add some sparkle. The sentiment is handwritten. Are you ready to show us your Christmas star projects? Please check out what my amazing design team sisters have to inspire you this week. I have the links posted in my side bar. Be sure to leave them some love!
Here is a close up of all the glitters and shimmers...

Share the Holiday Warmth...

Good Wednesday Morning,
Today brings a new challenge for Penny's Challenges. This week, Penny has challenged us to use NO DPS!!! Set your creative juices free and create your own designs. Well, of course, I had to pull out the Cuttlebug and some glimmer mist, when you have that duo, who needs dps...giggles. I decided to stamp some random snowflakes in second generation, I wanted a more subtle inking technique. I placed a little bling in the center of each. I love the non traditional colors on this one. So if you need some more inspiration, check out the creative dt on my side bar. These girls have some very inspirational cards this week. Have a blessed day before Thanksgiving.

Let Your Light Shine.....

Good Wednesday Morning,
Well, you know that Wednesday brings a brand new challenge from my friend, Penny! This week the super talented ladybug is giving you a color challenge. Look at these yummy shades. Now, you do not have to have the CTMH colors, find something close to these and let your inner crafting diva go wild!

I love this card! I used a cute shaped chipboard star to trace the pattern onto my yellow cardstock. I cut, embossed, and distressed them. I also popped them up from the card with pop dots, you may can't tell that in the photo. To keep the card simple, I stamped my sentiment and used an edge anchor from CTMH and ta da....I'm very pleased with it. My inspiration for this card came from all my girls over at the Unscripted team. That was a great sketch this week, thanks for the inspiration. Now, I want to see your fun projects with this great color combo. Be sure to check out my creative sisters projects via the links on my side bar. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Peace On Earth....

Happy Wednesday and Veteran's Day,
I want to take a moment to honor all Veteran's, especially my Uncle Gary Wayne. he's a Veteran of Vietnam. He's also my hero. He has taught me so much and always been the strong example for me. Prayers and gratitude to all who serve proudly, to those who have served with honor, and those who have sacrificed with valor. God Bless you all!

It is Wednesday, and that brings a brand new challenge at Penny's Challenges. This week my friend has challenged us to use a sketch. Look at this yummy sketch. Well, you know that I've been stuck on snowmen here lately. So looking at this I instantly thought of snowflakes.

I am still loving the plum and vanilla cream together for a little non-traditional Christmas colors. I used the snowflake from the October SOTM along with silver embossing powders. I really love how these look. I also used my d'vine cuttlebug folder, my favorite, just for some dimension. This is an awesome sketch and I really want to see what you do with it! My dt sisters have some beautiful takes on it as well. You can visit them using the links on my side bar. While there, leave them some love! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Another Snowman....

Happy Wednesday!
Today is reveal day at Penny's Challenges! My good friend, Penny, has a recipe for you this week. You will make a winter card, use ribbon, glitter, and/or bling. I could not get a good photograph of this. I promise, it is much cuter in real life. I used some white glitter in the snow and on my little snowman. His hat has some blue glitter in it.

Here is a little close up of the glitter details. I glittered up my snowflakes too! Who doesn't love playing with this stuff? It is still kind of difficult to see all the glittery sparkle.

Give it a try this week. It'll be time for Christmas cards before you know it! Please visit my DT sisters, their cards and projects are incredible again this week. You can find the links in my side bar. Leave them some love!

[hello]...

Happy Wednesday,
It is time for a new reveal from Penny's Challenges. This week Penny has a sketch for you! A really fun sketch to play with. I wanted to get to play with my new debossing folder from Cuttlebug, so I made this a winter card. I used this plum cardstock and ink on the debossing. I used pop dots behind my squares and my snowflakes, not really sure that I like that part, but I love the folder! Head on over to Penny's Challenges and play along this week. You can check out the talents of my amazing DT sisters by clicking on the link in my side bar. They rocked this challenge, as always!

Love Deeply......

Happy Wednesday,
Penny's Challenges has an inspiration photo for you this week. Here is the photo, which I must say I LOVED using these colors!

This is the card I came up with. My design was loosely following this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I used all CTMH on this card, except the pearls. The cardstock and inks are sweet leaf, cocoa, and colonial white. I just did some random stamping, stamped my sentiment, used the Martha border punch, and added some pearls from Michael's. I really do love this card. Oh, I forgot, I also used Penny's favorite, the swiss dots folder on the sweet leaf base stock. I lightly sanded it to give that polka dot look at the bottom of the shirt. The design team has created some gorgeous cards this week. Jump to my side bar to take in the stunning cards they made, while you're browsing their blogs, pass on some bloggy love, these ladies are wonderfully talented! Are you inspired to create, don't forget to link up to Penny's Challenges!
