Such an exciting day! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you celebrate in a scrappy way today! :-)

Penny has a new challenge up this week at Penny's Challenges. This go around we want to see some birthday projects. I made a mini tag album to celebrate the love I have for my middle sister, Teresa. All of the paper used in this book is Chatterbox. The ribbon, buttons, and brads, and clips are all stash. The flowers are Prima. You can tell I really let loose on the distressing inks, you all know I love to ink. The stamps are from CTMH.

Now it is you turn to pull some birthday goodies out and get scrapping. Don't forget to visit my super talented dt sisters, I have them linked up in the sidebar. Leave them a bit of love today!

Paper or Plastic & Some Candy.....

Thursday is here! I hope you've had a good week. It's been a short week, but coming back to school after the Labor Day weekend, I feel behind and rushed to get back on track. I'm sharing something this morning that I had made a few years ago. This was my first attempt at a paper bag tag book. This little book was for my Honeybee on Valentine's Day 2006. I used the brown bags that you buy to carry lunch in. I folded each bag in half so the opening would be on the right side. I hole punched the spine area and tied ribbon to bind it. All of my papers were My Mind's Eye and Daisy d's. As you can tell, I really used up some ribbon on this project. My tags were all cut with Sizix. I had at least 4 tags in each opening of the bag (on the side where all the ribbon is). This was a fun little project! I've since wanted to make more, but for some reason I haven't. I hope you find time to make one. If you do, please share it with me!

My Girl...

Good Evening Ladies,

I must apologize for not having a post and making my rounds to all my favorite blogs. Yesterday was our 'First Day of School'. I left my house at 6:15 am, returned around 4:30 or so, made it to Practical Scrappers, I think I left about 4 comments, cooked dinner, then went to bed. I was exhausted! That first day always wipes me out. I have what appears to be a great group of third graders. In total we have 65 students to share between three teachers. I'm excited about the potential that this new group brings...

Well, on to my post for this evening. I'm having a hard time getting this little project completed. The other day, I posted a sneak peek into a mini album I'm making for Ashlea of her Spring Recital. Here is the cover of that album. I have everything spread out ready to go on my desk. I'm just struggling to find time to get in there to get it completed. I hope to do that this weekend.

Tonight I have 22 math inventories to score and a WCG (Women of the Church of God) meeting at church, so I will be making rounds later on. You guys pray for me and my students this week....

Timeless Beauty....

Good Friday Morning,
Today I am posting a mini album that is just so precious to
me. The title is Timeless Beauty. This is an album I created
to document all the "old" beautiful things I hold so dear to
my heart. The things in this album include 50 year old roses,
quilts from my Great-Grandmothers, trees that my Grandpa
carried out of the forests nearly 50 years ago, etc. It ends with
my Granny, who will be 83 in August. I really wanted 'old'
things with this delicious Fleuriste paper and embellies from
Cosmo Cricket. I think it turned out just the way I had hoped it
would.
