Us...

It is Sunday and that means we have a new challenge up at Lasting Memories....This week we want to see   your take on "Season's Change". I pulled out some photos that Ben and I took 3 years ago at Easter. We took a spring hike in for one mile to see the Beautiful Bad Branch Falls, located here in our home town. This was a fabulous spring day for us!
Recipe: papers-Sassafras Lass, felt-stash, ink-CTMH
I can't wait to see how you interpret the season's change challenge this week!

It's a Beautiful Day....

Good Morning,

It is Friday, and that makes it a beautiful day, huh! This completes the first week of testing, we've all survived.....yay!
Today, my first post is revealing my weekly Frosted Designs challenge. I love rainbows and that is your challenge, we want to see rainbows done up in buttons, brads, beads, anyway you choose, just use a rainbow of colors! I used a Creations by Penny rainbow image and mixed it up with red buttons and some blue and yellow brads, plus a tiny bit of glitter.

I used my d'vine cuttlebug folder for some dimension, used some Sassafras paper, CTMH ribbon and ink. All the buttons and brads are from stash.
I hope this has inspired you to create today, I know that you'll be inspired by my fabby Frosted sisters. Don't forget to check them out and leave them some love.
Have a beautiful day!

So Blessed....

Good Morning,
It is Monday at that brings a new challenge at Practical Scrappers. Before I share my new project, Congrats to last week's top 3, Hannah, Heather, Renea, and the winning prize goes to Brenda! You ladies really inspired me last week!

This week, Chistine and Ang want to see you use your stamps!!! This week there will be a top three and a Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize winner will receive bonding powder and a Stampee foil of their choice, Christine has an amazing sample here of the foil.

So for my card, I used some older Easter Egg stamps to create this flower. I stamped five eggs onto some textured Bazzill cardstock, cut them out, attached them all by a brad, kind of shaped them up a little, and topped it off with some stickles and a shake of glitter. I used some beautiful pink and yellow Sassafras papers. I desperately needed to see some spring colors!!! Stamps and ink are CTMH and the bling is from my stash.

here is a close up of the Easter Egg flower.
Please visit my super creative Practical Scrappers sisters, daily links in my side bar! You are sure to be inspired! I hope you're feeling creative and ready to play along this week at Practical Scrappers!

Friends 'til the End!

Good Morning,
Sorry I was mia yesterday. I got a phone call early in the a.m. Little Miss Ashlea had a cheerleading comp. Since we've had 8 snowAlign Left days in a row, they decided the ballgame and competition had to take place. So, they had an all day event. We left early and I returned late. We don't know the results of the cheer comp., those are to come later via the coaches. They did really well though.

This morning, I'm sharing my new Frosted Designs card. The challenge this week is to use polka dots and plaid. I used my fab Sassafras pack for this one! It is all out girlie and I love it!!!! My sentiment is a DCWV overlay and the ribbon is from my stash.
My fellow fabby design sisters have some amazing inspiration for you too! Please check them out. As always, I have them linked up in my sidebar! I hope you all have a fab day! I plan on it. I am seeing the sun for the first time this week! It is only 23 degrees but it looks wonderful! Check back later today for my Humble Pie card!

Got Decorative Scissors?

Happy Monday!!!
Have you heard, Practical Scrappers is having a Design Team Call! The call is located at the bottom of the challenge blog. If you are interested, you will need to sign the Mr. Linky and complete at least 2 challenges in October. That's all there is to it! Now is the time to get Practical!
That being said, here are two layouts I did for this week's challenge, to use decorative scissors. My first layout is of my niece, Samantha. She is the only flute in our Marching Band. Competition season has just kicked off and this is from her first comp. Isn't she beautiful? I used the scissors to make a border on the photo, around the two circles and the bottom border. I used a Creative Scrappers sketch for this one. Frosted Designs is also calling for flouishes this week, so I am entering both layouts there too! Yay, double dippin'!

My next layout features a flower I made using my deco edge scissors. It is made like a lollipop, I cut two different size circles with the scissors, crinkled them up and then cut four strips, crinkled, inked, and attached with a big Bazzill brad. I was very pleased with the flower. I used a Creative Scrappers sketch for this one too!
Here are some close ups of the flower. It was really easy and fun to do. Let me know what you think about it! I hope you have a terrific week.

A Day In My Life....

SECOND POST FOR TODAY, PLEASE SCROLL FOR MORE.....
Today is my Cafe Mojo debut. The challenge this week is to scrapbook about your daily routine now that a new school year has begun! How do you fit it all in? What has been the biggest change for your family? How long did it take or do you think it will take to transition smoothly? Show us anything you want about your new routine!
My daily routine begins with my prayers, breakfast, a quick blog post, on to my third grade classroom where I teach Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. That is a sneak peek into my daytime routine!
Now, I'm really interested in how your day has or hasn't changed now that the kids are back in school. I'd love for you to visit Cafe Mojo and share your day with the Mavens and myself. Don't forget to visit my teammates at Cafe Mojo, I have a sidebar with each Maven listed. You are sure to find inspiration while blogging with each of them. Tune in early in the morning when you see the reveal for both Practical Scrappers and Digital Ink Co. challenges for this week.

You're a Hoot...

Good Morning,
I hope you all have had a restful and relaxing weekend. I was supposed to help my sister move my oldest niece, Megan, into her apartment at UK yesterday. It's a new construction and well, not finished yet. The complex has arranged for them to stay in the Hyatt until construction is over. So, I stayed home and deep cleaned my house. The washer was non-stop all day. I was able to get one crafty project accomplished. Here is my post this week for Creations by Penny. This digi is one of faves. When I first saw this circle tree, I knew I wanted it to have an owl and that's just what I did. My Uncle Gary has a birthday on Tuesday and this is his card. I made the circle card for Paper Addicts Anonymous shape challenge by Emma.
