Tutorial Time....

Good Morning,
Are you ready for a fun tutorial to get you thinking outside the ordinary box? I have some "eggs"septional things to share with you today!!! I'll be using an acrylic egg stamp and the hidden potential it has to create a one of a kind flower embellishment for a card. I love to use egg stamps just for this purpose!

Here are the supplies I used for this project:
When using acrylic stamps, always place a foam pad or the foam packing under the paper and you will get a nice, clean, crisp image.

For this flower, I needed five eggs.

After stamping and cutting out the images, I dry fit them into the pattern I want for the flower. you can put them really close together for a smaller flower or span them out a little bit for a larger one.

After I chose the size, I put a tiny brad through the center to hold it all together. I then used a clear pink button that replicated the flower in my sentiment. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without some bling in the center. :-) I also used a pencil to curl the edges of the petals.

This is the finished card. My sentiment is a wooden stamp from Hobby Lobby, the paper is some old stash I have, I used bling by Recollections, and the inks, stamps, and cardstock are CTMH. Don't you love this gorgeous Offray ribbon?

Now, are you ready to take a hidden potential challenge with the Sisters at The Sisterhood this week? You don't have to use eggs, you can use any stamp, punch, or dicut you choose. This challenge has lots of possibilities. Just be as creative as you like! I LOVE creative surprises! You can visit my sisters to check out their crafty creations today, they are linked up on my sidebar, AND they have some incredible cards and projects to share!
Blessings,

Rock and Roll Humble Pie Style.....

****Second Post Today, Please Scroll Down for Penny's Challenges Card****
Rock and Roll Stamp Technique Tutorial for Humble Pie Stamps
I'm using these supplies to make a beautiful fall card, did you notice the Easter Eggs? Well, they will make my pumpkin, really! I was inspired to use the egg stamp from something Boni did a while back.

Step 1, is to load up your stamp with base color. Stamp image onto cardstock.

Step 2, after cleaning the stamp, roll the edges in a darker color, being careful to ink only the outer edges. Align the stamp over the base color image and stamp.

Step 3, cut your images out.

Step 4, adhere the pieces together using your favorite adhesive.

Step 5, cut the card to your desired measurements. Use your favorite embellies, stamps, and ribbons to complete the card. Here is my finished card using Easter egg stamps and the rock and roll stamping technique. I hope you give it a try. It does take just a little practice, but it gives a great touch to your images. Have fun!
