Yep, that means use an arrow or arrows when you create. Barb has a side challenge, the project that uses the most arrows, will receive a special prize!!!!

I used the Sassy 'lil Sketches sketch here for this layout

I've been mia for a few days and my sweet blogging bff, Dawn, asked about me....I've gone from the Civil War bedroom to the thrid grade classroom. Can you believe it is back to school time already? Teachers return to school "offically" on Aug. 5 and students first day is Aug. 9....

I created this layout to be a mate to one I had posted on Monday, it was titled, beautiful.

This is Ashlea, Jon-Christopher, and Megan enjoying some time at the beach. This sketch was just perfect for these photos.

I hope to see you all play along this week. Here is the yummy prize being offered by Pat, one of my super talented and so generous Mavens.

you guys...

Good Morning,

I'm trying to get back into my regular habits of reading and posting early. My honeybee came home from PA around 10:30 on Saturday night, he even had to miss Jon-Christopher's birthday party on Sat. We've tried to just spend quality time together. He left this morning at 3:30 am going to WV. I went back to bed and I've slept in a bit....

Anywho, I'm sharing a double layout I created for my friends retirement album. This is probably one of my favorites for the album so far.

Everything used is Cosmo Cricket except the bling, flowers, and buttons. I'm really enjoying working on this book.
Have a great day!!!

Good Morning,
Today is new challenge reveal day at Practical Scrappers....we have a great challenge this week. We want to see at least 7 different things used on your layout. That was kind of challenging for me. I initially thought 7, oh gosh will I get seven on a page, but when I got started, it was easy, here is my layout....

My 7 things are 3 different papers, 1 trim, flowers, brads, and pearls. Of course I really didn't count the inks or the cricut cuts....
These are more beach photos from our March trip to Myrtle Beach. I played with the colors to mute them down just a bit.
Are you up for our "7 things" challenge? I sure hope to see your project at Practical Scrappers this week!
Don't forget to visit the super talented dt all week to see how they used their seven things.

There’s only a week left before Better Living Through Scrapbooking launches, and we’re trying to spread the word about our blog and the fabulous scrapbook challenges we have planned. We want to reward and help those that support our blog too! Therefore, we’ve come up with our “Better Blogs” program.
You will want to hop on over today and check out all the ways you can win fun prizes as Better Scrap prepares to kick off their fist challenge!!!!

my everything...

Good Morning,
Today is Friday, and that means a new challenge reveal at Frosted Designs!!!! I love this week's challenge, it is to scrap with song lyrics...
Well this was a no brainer for me, my honeybee absolutely loves Lifehouse's Everything! He sings it to me all the time, even more so now that he is having to work in PA. So the title for this one was easy!!!!

I used up scraps from my June Lucky Girl kit to create this page. The flowers are Prima and Bazzill, the bling is Hobby Lobby and the button & twine are from stash. My punch is Fiskars and the rubons are American Crafts. Ink and pen are CTMH.
Don't forget you will have an entry for our July prize package if you play along this week! Prize picture is posted on my sidebar.
Go visit my fabby Frosted Sisters, as I know you will be inspired to scrap a song lyric!

This is week 7 at Sketches in Thyme, can you believe it!!!! I really have no idea where this summer has gone! We are using another fabulous sketch by Monma this week!
I made this layout for my friends album. I kind of rotated the sketch a bit for this one.

This is one of the 8 pages I got accomplished while on my mini retreat. I really hope that you will visit the Mavens today and leave them some scrappy love!

Oh did I forget to show you what the winner of this week's challenge will receive?
This is a yummy kit being offered up by my fellow Maven, Debbie. I'd love to win this beautiful Webster's Pages kit, wouldn't you? All you have to do to win is PLAY!!!!

Stars and Stripes.....

Good Afternoon,

Well, I'm back from a great day and late night of scrapping! I had so much fun just being with my scrappy BFF's!!! In between the socializing, drinking coffee, and delicious food, I did get 8 pages completed for my retirement album. I'm using some of them as dt projects so, you'll be seeing them soon!
In the meantime, today is Around the World at The Sisterhood! Linda is the sister hosting this week and she wants to see you scrap the USA....

I was inspired to pull out some really old photos, Ashlea's first July 4th (and she is 10 now!!!!), really old papers and stickers to work on this layout. I really like the simplicity of it, as well as using up some oldies from the stash!
Please visit the sisters to see their red, white, and blue....while there leave them some scrappy love!!!
Hope to see you playing along this week.

Time out....

Good Morning,
After working on my little man's room since last Thursday, I'm taking a break today! I have the walls painted, the new floor is in, all the trim work us up and stained! The lawn is mowed, the animals are fed and I'm taking the day off!!!!! My good scrappy friends want us to have a day and night of scrapping. So, I'm taking things to hopefully get my friends retirement album finished. I don't know if my mobile internet stick will receive signal while out scrapping.
I'm really looking forward to this much needed day and night of fun!

and 1 girl....

Good Morning,
Today is Monday and that means a brand new challenge at Practical Scrappers!!!! This week our challenge is to use stash that is older than one year. Well, that is really easy to do, since I have such a "hoarding stash", please tell me I'm not alone!!!!!
So, here is what I did....I was inspired to use this line of papers for my Frosted Designs challenge this week, border punches. While that layout came together, I had the idea to make it a double page, so here ya go...
And here are both layouts together. The little felt on the sides act as pull tabs for the hidden journaling behind the photos. The titles read, "my 2 boys & 1 girl"
Our sponsor this month at PS is Digi Doodles, the winner will receive three free digis.
You have until 5:00 pm Saturday, July 24 to enter. Oh, and don't forget to check out what my fellow dt sisters did with this one!!!!

You might be curious why I haven't been to visit honey is home from PA for the weekend and we are deep in the throws of installing heritage pine floating floor in my little man's Civil War room. We are breaking about now, I have a meatloaf in the oven and we'll hit it again after supper.
I'm hoping to be through with the floor and trims (minus the stain on trims) tonight....
I really miss seeing your scrappy inspirations!

My 2 Boys....

Good Morning,

I just have a quick post this morning as I'm still painting....
The new challenge this week at Frosted Designs is to use border punches!!!! We love our punches don't we. Here is my layout....

I used my EK Success corner rounder with the guard off to create my scalloped border. I love using in that way!!!
This is already a favorite of mine. Why? you ask, well, it is my two boys last week while boating. Jon-Christopher (dark hair) will be six on July 22 and Hunter (blonde) was six in April.
I used all Cogsmo Cosmo Cricket supplies on this one. The ink and staples are CTMH & the felt border is from stash. I put the journaling on a tag and attached the felt to pull it out.
Don't forget this yummy July prize!!!! All you have to do to win it, is PLAY along!!!!

Please visit my fabby frosted sisters and check out the fantabulous inspiration they have for you today!!!! I hope to see your creations this week.
