Hoppy Easter....

SECOND POST, SCROLL FOR THE SISTERHOOD SOCIAL
Today is another new challenge up at Penny's Challenges. Penny wants to see your Easter themed projects this week. So, I pulled out some really old Mullberry paper, kind of did a little free hand on the bunny, wet the mullberry along the edges I wanted to tear and look how cute this bunny is! This was a very simple layout. I cut the title using Cuttin' Up cart. The cardstock is CTMH, the dps are very old were just in my stash. I used a Martha punch and my white gelly roll pen. I also just used my finger and some pink chalk to make the pink in his ears and cheeks. For some fun I gave him some wiggly eyes and a button nose.

My incredibly talented sisters at Penny's have some beautiful cards and projects to offer inspiration. You must head over to visit them and leave them some love!
Blessings,

Remember This Moment....

Good Afternoon,
Today is our first Sister Social at The Sisterhood. My sis, Terri, is hosting today. She has created a journal to record things you are grateful for. The idea is to write down five things for which you are grateful every day in a journal. You may choose to write a paragraph or just a few words.

You all know me and the love I have for my little kids. By the way, I call them little kids because their last name is Little. Anyways, I created this journal to record times we share together that I'm grateful for, things they do for me, things I do for them, and just to record things I want them to always remember.

My journal came from the dollar store, my paper, overlay and title are My Mind's Eye. The flower is Prima and the ribbon is a collection from my stash.

I hope that you will venture over to The Sisterhood Social and join in this week! My sisters have created some gorgeous gratitude projects, you will surely find all the inspiration you desire.

Have a wonderful day!

Let it Snow!

Good Morning,
This morning I'm bringing you the sketch from this last Friday at Practical Scrappers. I love this sketch and can see myself using it time and time again on layouts and cards.
I decided that since I had so many snow photos from this winter, that I had may as well scrap them. This is Ashlea playing in my Gran's yard. She was doing her cheer toe touches. So I aptly named them "snowtouches". She had such a fun time that day.

All paper, stickers, and overlay are Bo Bunny. I used some bling from my stash to go inside the snowflakes. This sketch offers up lots of inspiration, I hope it inspires you!
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Be Happy

Good Morning,
This post is coming to you as I prepare to leave Myrtle Beach. Ashlea's Junior Prep Elite team won National Champion in Jazz, Pom, and Hip Hop! She is so excited! After the competition, we took a trip down to the beach to take some photos. I just wanted to share this one. I got lots of beautiful ones, you'll see them in layouts very soon!!!! This is Ashlea, Megan, and Jon-Christopher. Oh how I love these kiddos!
This on is of my little Hunter. He went to the beach for photos before the other kids did. He said the wind was just too cold for him.... Now on to the Practical Scrappers challenge this week! We are asking you to pull out your rub-ons and get creative! I opted for no patterned paper. I used CTMH cardstock and a full sheet of Fancy Pants rub-ons to make this page. It may be difficult to tell, but I put some diamond stickles in the center of the flower rub-ons.
Now it's your turn to show us what your rub-ons can do. Please visit my super talented dt sisters linked up on my side bar. You will leave with more inspiration! Have a super Monday. We'll be traveling all day, so I won't be around to visit until tomorrow. I have seriously got to get a mobile charger for this laptop.

Blessed....

Good Morning,
How has your week been going? Hopefully, you're having a good one! Mine is about to get better! I'm leaving with my family after school today to drive down to our home on the lake in Tennessee. We're meeting up with the family that lives there and on our way to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend. My little Ashlea has a dance comp. there on Sunday. I am so looking forward to the break, the beach, the time to relax. I'll have my laptop and be checking in from time to time!
Today, I'm sharing a layout that will go in the album I shared on Monday for my Practical Scrappers project. Here it is in case you missed it. Here's the layout. All the papers are Making Memories. The stamps are Autumn Leaves, and the butterfly was just in my stash with the bling and the ribbon. The inks are CTMH. This photo is from summer 2007. Ben and Gran were posing for me at a rest stop on our way to Tybee Island. They're both big hams for the camera, heck the whole family is!
If you are watching any of the Sweet Sixteen games in the NCAA today, cheer on the KY Wildcats and Coach Cal! Go Big Blue!!!! I hope your day is terrific.

Tutorial Time....

Good Morning,
Are you ready for a fun tutorial to get you thinking outside the ordinary box? I have some "eggs"septional things to share with you today!!! I'll be using an acrylic egg stamp and the hidden potential it has to create a one of a kind flower embellishment for a card. I love to use egg stamps just for this purpose!

Here are the supplies I used for this project:
When using acrylic stamps, always place a foam pad or the foam packing under the paper and you will get a nice, clean, crisp image.

For this flower, I needed five eggs.

After stamping and cutting out the images, I dry fit them into the pattern I want for the flower. you can put them really close together for a smaller flower or span them out a little bit for a larger one.

After I chose the size, I put a tiny brad through the center to hold it all together. I then used a clear pink button that replicated the flower in my sentiment. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without some bling in the center. :-) I also used a pencil to curl the edges of the petals.

This is the finished card. My sentiment is a wooden stamp from Hobby Lobby, the paper is some old stash I have, I used bling by Recollections, and the inks, stamps, and cardstock are CTMH. Don't you love this gorgeous Offray ribbon?

Now, are you ready to take a hidden potential challenge with the Sisters at The Sisterhood this week? You don't have to use eggs, you can use any stamp, punch, or dicut you choose. This challenge has lots of possibilities. Just be as creative as you like! I LOVE creative surprises! You can visit my sisters to check out their crafty creations today, they are linked up on my sidebar, AND they have some incredible cards and projects to share!

Have A Beary Happy Day...

Good Morning,
I am so loving the sunshine and warmer temps. I was inspired by this weekend's weather to create this card. The yellows and oranges in here just brighten my day, as it is dreary and chilly here today.

It was posted yesterday on the Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper. This is another adorable Sophie that is EXCLUSIVE to The Town Scrapper. If you love Victoria Case stamps and you are ready to pick up some new ones, you need to visit Phebe at The Town Scrapper. Keep checking back, she has some new releases coming in April! I hope you are inspired to create today!

I used My Mind's Eye papers, CTMH ribbons, bling from Recollections, Tatterd Straw Tim Holtz ink, and my corner rounder for the scallops.

Do You Have Old Stash?

Good Monday Morning,

I hope you had a terrific weekend! We welcomed in the first day of Spring on Saturday and it was beautiful here! Today, we welcome in a new week at Practical Scrappers. First, let's get to our winners from last week! Our grand prize winner is Ane Lene, and our top three are Fancy Melissa, Penny Light, and Hazel. You all had such creative uses for chipboard! Always so fun and refreshing to visit and be inspired by our participants!

Now our challenge this week is easy peasy, just use something from you stash that is at least a year old. Since I'm a huge collector, who is vowing to use up stash before buying new, that was easy for me!

I had this Making Memories album (at least two years old) that has been begging to be used! I pulled it out and found some rub-ons that were stashed away too. They were a combo of Fancy Pants and Making Memories. I tied on ribbon from the stash. I put a photo of my Gran in the cover of it. This book will be used for photos of her, as she is "Sweet Beauty" to me!

I know you have some old stash, now is the time to put it to use! If you need some awesome inspiration for this one, please be sure to visit my dt sisters, I have them linked up by days of the week on my side bar. Have a great Monday.

Wish...

Good Morning,
This morning I have a quick card to share. One of my best blogging friends, Brenda, is in the Operation Write Home blog hop this weekend. She is hosting a challenge. Here is the sketch, it's a fun one! You have to play....she's got a yummy prize!

And here is what I did with it. I know it is very clean and simple, but that is what I was feeling from this sketch. To me, this card is clean, like the new beinning we have in Spring. One of my third grade coworkers celebrates a birthday on April 5. This is going to be her card.
All my papers and dicuts are Crate Paper, my inks and stamps are CTMH, and the button & floss are from stash.
I hope you all have a gorgeous day!

Practical Scrappers Sketch....Wonder

Good Saturday Morning,
I hope you are all ready for a day filled with sunshine. At least I hope you are getting my weather today. We are expecting close to 70 and all sunshine! My little man, Jon-Christopher, plays in his last Jr. Pro game today and they will have a "Trophy Ceremony" after the game. You would think my five year old nephew is about to cash in the winning lottery ticket. Oh the joys and innocence of childhood.
Here's the sketch at Practical Scrappers this weekend by Ann Katrin. She is so very talented in designing these fabulous sketches.

I had this photo of Ashlea from Easter 2003. She is giving the little shy look in this one.

I used some really old rub-ons for my flourishes. The title is by Glitz Designs. My papers are all Kaitlin from Cosmo Cricket. My flowers are CTMH and Prima. The inks are Tim Holtz and the brad is from stash.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Sneak Peek at New Victoria Case Images...

Second Post, Scroll Down For Frosted Designs Card
Here we are, time for a new challenge at The Town Scrapper. If you haven't already done so, please snag our new logo. It is located just above the Scrapettes' blog roll. You can leave a comment HERE to be entered to win two new exclusive Victoria Case images! Also, this week's winner will get to chose from 6 new Victoria Case images. You know you want to play. What's this week's challenge you ask? Incorporate ribbons and rub-ons on your project. Whew, how much fun that is! We all LOVE ribbons and rub-ons.

I used some little white flower rub-ons in the corners of my marquee. I used three ribbons on this card, yellow, mint green gingham, and the pink gingham. I chose to use the Spring Garden Sophie. She is a soon to be released stamp. I think she is the most delightful little garden girl ever! The sentiment on this card reads, "Love is in the garden you grow". How true! So, come on ladies, check our my fellow Scrapettes, you will feel the warm sunshine of Spring in the air when you visit them today. Be sure to leave them some love! I can't wait to see your ribbons and rub-on creations!
Blessings,

Spring Flowers...

Good Morning,
How are all of my scrappy friends this morning? The sun is beginning to appear in the sky, we are supposed to see the temps around 70 today, my daffodil are surely to open today. This can all mean only one thing, Spring is arriving! Praise God! My sweet blogging sister Julie, posted something yesterday that really made me reflect on why I love Spring. I, like you Jules, love the promise it brings for our salvation, I love the renewal of life that God has promised and just how much He loves me!

Well, today at Frosted Designs, we want to celebrate the arrival of Spring. My fabby Frosted sisters have done just that. Pop over to visit them and leave a chirp of love behind! We are looking for flowers in your cards, layouts, or projects. Be creative and "Think Spring"!

I gave you this fun sneak peek yesterday.

I decided to go with stamped and embossed flowers for my project. I inked up my embossing folder before sending it through the cuttlebug. I have seen many of you do it and I tried it. LOVE this technique. I wanted to post that photo because when the card is finished, you really can't see the beautiful embossing. I stamped the flowers, sentiment, added just a touch of stickles, bling, and finished off with a gorgeous ribbon I've been saving for just the right project. I hope you are inspired today to create something fun with flowers.
Have a fabby Friday!

Sneaky Peeky Time....

Good Morning,
Sorry if I missed reading your blog last night. I got report cards finished, yippeeee! So weird to be doing them in the middle of March. We usually have our winter reports out by the second week of February. I suppose that is what happens when Mother Nature moves in for the winter!

I just have a sneak peek for you today. Here is just a snippet of something you will be seeing tomorrow.

I inked up my embossing folder before running it through the cuttlebug. I LOVE this fun technique. I've seen many of you using it and this was my first time doing so. Ummm, LOVE IT!!! Thanks for all the inspiration you all bring my way!
Don't forget, our debut challenge is up at The Sisterhood of Crafters. We are hoping to see your creations Around the World with Ireland. It can be the colors of the flag, a lucky leprechaun, anything inspired by the Irish. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Have a great Thursday and for all of you NCAA fans, today is the day the dance begins.....go Big Blue and coach Cal!

Lucky You....

SECOND POST, PLEASE SCROLL FOR PENNY'S CHALLENGES CARD
"Good friends are like a four leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have around"
Thanks to you all, whom I consider my wonderful friends. I'm so lucky to have you around in my bloggy life!
That's right, "Lucky You!" You are in for a fun day of Irish Luck if you are visiting The Sisterhood to help us kick off our debut challenge!
This week our hostess is my super incredibly talented sistah, Darlene. You all know her and have seen her talents at Penny's Challenges, Wink Wink Ink, and Raise the Bar to just name a few.
She thought taking this Around the World Challenge to Ireland would be the lucky way to begin things. When you see what all my sistahs have created, you will agree! I have them all linked up on my side bar. Please give them a cup of love today!

I used this fun Irish top hat with the lucky shamrock that can be picked up at Delicious Doodles, and created by my super talented sistah, Teri Sherman. My card was created for my oldest nephew, Tyler. He celebrated his 19th birthday on Sunday. At his age, we always joke that all he wants is something "green ". So he got the Luck of the Irish this year.....and plenty of his green ($$$$).
This card was fun to create. I used watercolor pencils and a blending pen to color it in. I used a metallic gel pen for the gold buckle on the hat and tried to replicate that in the ribbon and the chipboard slide. I wrote the lucky you with my white gel pen.
Now, roll your sleeves up, sip some warm Irish cream coffee, and play along with us this week. We are in it for loads of fun and fellowship. I hope to see many familiar faces playing along!
Blessings for a lucky day,
