Simple Beauty...

As I post this, the sun is rising, birds are chirping, and I am so grateful that I have this beautiful day to enjoy. God has blessed me!

My card this morning is from the Our Creative Corner sketch for this week. I am still using up old stash. That's the thing about keeping all the leftovers of this fabby paper we love, we need to use it up for cards right then, so we won't have old stash piles. Like many of you, my piles are getting out of hand. I really didn't realize just how much so until I began moving my stuff into the new room. Boy, do I have a HUGE pile of goodies that are just begging to be used again! Be blessed today and enjoy!

Hello...

Good Sunday Morning,

I have a quick post for today. I was checking out Amy R's Friday Sketch and loved this. As I am so into the vintage daisy d's right now, this card is also using more of that paper. The flowers are part of the little die cut sheet that was in the pack. I just cut a slit down toward the center so I could curl up the petals and give just a touch of dimension. I also inked the lace with just a hint of the walnut stain on a sponge. Hope you enjoy and have a blessed day!

Just Because...

Happy Saturday,

I had a blast yesterday! My MIL and I went antique shopping ALL day long. I am looking for little antique and quaint pieces to put into my little Ashlea's new room here at my house. Ashlea came over last night and was thrilled with the little talble and bed I had gotten. It is a slow process but I am closer. As I said a little while back, I am moving my studio into this room as well. All furniture is being painted white. Now my scrap room used to be chili pepper red. I am sanding, priming, and painting myself silly, but it is going to be beautiful when finished.

Anyways, to my card for today. I am still using daisy d's Moda collection. It is easy to get to right now with all the other "creating" going on in the house. I was over at Brenda's blog last night and came across Jamie's sketch. I adore this sketch. Both ladies have terrific blogs and are soooo very creative, hop on over to check them out. Hope you enjoy this card and have a beautiful blessed weekend!

You Make My Heart Flutter...

As we all awaken this morning to the tragic news of the loss of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, I pray for both families that God will help them through His unending love for all His children.
This brings me to my card for the IC Sketches 22 challenge this week. As saddend as I was by this loss, I wanted to remind my hubby just how much I love him. Not for all the big wonderful things he does, but for all the little everyday things he does for me and our amazing life together.
The challenge was to create a window in your card. I must say, this is the first window card I've made and I think I just might be hooked! I hope you enjoy....

Three Scoops, Please...

Morning Ladies,
I hope today is greeting you all with sunshine and smiles! Today's card is using three different challenges. Frist, my sketch is from Kazan over at 2 Sketches 4 You (29), next the color purple from Pile it On, and last but not least, Scrap or Dare 8 using Petal, Blush, White Daisy, and Clover Meadow.
I cut my flower layers using my Creative Memeories circles, I stamped the blush and white daisy paper with flourishes. Then I crumpled all three circles and lightly inked the edges. I attached a brad and then the green bling. I just hand drew three leaves on clover meadow cs and repeated the crumpling. All CTMH cardstock in: Hydrangea, White Daisy, Clover Meadow, and B & T in Tickled Pink
CTMH inks: Hollyhock, Purple Pansy, and Clover Meadow
Stamp: Free Spirit (D1217)
Bling and brad: Scrapgoods kit

Unscripted Card

I wanted to make a card this afteroon using this week's Unscripted Sketch. I'm still using up old stash, so I pulled out some daisy d's Moda collection for this card. Just want to say that daisy d's is one of my favorite lines of paper! I wanted to layer it up but wasn't really sure which papers to put where. As lovely and vintage as this paper is, I didn't want to do an image, just a sentiment. I had it finished and then felt like something was missing so, I added the bling. I can't decide if I like the bling or not...

Mojo with My Grafico Prize

Good Morning Ladies,
I got to play with my new digi images I won yesterday from My Grafico over at Card Patterns. I simply adore dragonflies. I knew I wanted to use this bright paper for my Mojo 92 card and thought the little dragonfly would be perfect for it. One thing for sure is, I have to get some Copics!!! I'm not really happy with the way my coloring the image turned out. Another thing, I should have made the card wider...not happy with the position fo the little sentiment square. Oh well....if you have thoughts, let me hear...

I have been out most of the day. When I got home, I pulled up the blog and read a comment that Grace had left on my last post...she told me I won a digi set from Card Patterns! YAY!! The prize digi stamps were sponsored by My Grafico. I chose this Garden Elements set. Aren't they just adorable?
Thanks Grace for letting me know because I had posted my card for this week earlier and wouldn't have gone back to that blog for a day or so. You're a sweetie!

Welcome to a new week filled with unbelievable possibilities! I sure hope that you are expecting good things to come your way this coming week! My post this morning is a card made for the Sweet Stop 9. The twist was to make the sketch using red, white and blue. I knew instantly which stamps and papers I wanted to use. I used the distressing wheel from CTMH to get that edge on all my cardstock. I love that little wheel! Well, off to more adventures for the day!

Summer Pleasures

Beautiful Sunday morning to you all! I am up early and ready for a morning of card making bliss! I hope to get 3 or 4 created this morning! My first card is a quick and simple one for Papertake Weekly 17. The sketch had a large triangle this week. I made mine rather large as to pull the eye to the 'buggy center'. I hope the photo is crisp enough to allow you to see the little bugs on the leaf. I have had this paper pack for two years I think and still hadn't used any of it. I am trying to pull all the stash that has never been touched out and USE it. I can't buy more unitl some of this is gone!

Scrap or Dare meets C.R.A.F.T Challenge 5

Finally, the tango walls are finished! You talk about some bright 'tween' room we have going on! She LOVES it and that is all that matters, right?Anyway, with the walls finished, I can play some more, yay!!

I went to Amy's Scrap or Dare 7 and saw that her challenge this week was to use Olive Green, Buttercup, Bamboo, and Cocoa. Great colors Amy! I made the card and then rememberd the theme is "masculine", I did flowers.....not so masculine, uh....well, my hubby said he loved it...thanks hubby. I had already decided I wanted to use the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge sketch 5 for something this week...great sketch, I love it! So this is what I came up with. Sorry the picture is not good. My battery died just after I shot this first one.

Adore Sketch Saturday 56

Happy Saturday Ladies!! I have a full schedule this weekend. My little 9 year old niece, Ashlea is helping me decorate her room here at my house. She comes to visit quite often and says she 'needs her own space!' Imagine that, a nine year old needing her own space...lol! Well, as a good Auntie does, we have a wall that is already finished in Lime Juice and today will be finishing the three Tango (hot pink) walls. I have decided that my scrap room will also move into this room. By moving it, Ashlea's brother, Jon-Christopher will then be able to have his own room. You know how it is, even though he is only 4, he will still say, 'where is my room?'
So, I got up early and have card for Sketch Saturday 56. This is my first time playing over there and I have to say it was fun! I used up some stash of left-over dp for this card.

If you enjoy it, leave a sweet comment and I'll come visit you!

Bazill brads
Ctmh Hollyhock ink
Ctmh stamp (D1343) Love Language
