Sketches in Thyme Challenge 12

Good Morning,
Today is Challenge 12 reveal day over at Sketches in Thyme! Can you all believe it has already been 12 weeks? So much fun and wowza at the inspiration each week brings from the Mavens and you, the participants! I love it!!!!
I have a muscle injury on my right shoulder and I'm having a difficult time getting "quality" blog time. I'm seeking treatment after school today. This is a stress injury that keeps recurring. It hasn't ever been this bad. I'm actually having spasms right now and it is miserable! So if you know any great remedies, please share them, Dawn, I know you understand what is happening.

Now on to the dazzling sketch this week by Helen Croft at Scrap-a-Little Sketches......
Here is my take on it!
I used some leftover pictures of the Little Kids and the yummy new Splendor kit from CTMH for this one! Everything on the page came from that kit and the ink is CTMH too.
Don't forget this is the very last week to play along to win this yummy prize put together so lovingly by Fern
I hope you all have a great day!

Weekend Fun....

Good Morning,
I'm sharing some photos from our fun Easter weekend. On Saturday, Ben and I spent the day hiking to Bad Branch Falls. It is a beautiful waterfall located on one of the highest mountain ranges in Kentucky. We hiked in just a little over a mile on a rugged and rocky terrain. It was so worth it. We had been in to different parts before, but never to the falls.
Here's a couple photos for you.

Isn't this just beautiful! We were blessed with the perfect day!

On Sunday, the little kids came to go to church with us. We all attend church with my Gran on Easter. That is one Sunday she wants the family to attend the same church. I always get to help the kiddos color eggs while "the grown ups" are getting the dinner finished. Here's a couple of Easter fun photos of my two blessings!

This photo was taken outside the church. My little man was not into the picture taking mood.
These two are the kiddos coloring their eggs. Jon-Christopher didn't mind sitting picnic style to do his, but Ashlea wanted a table.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see what is new at The Sisterhood!
And Practical Scrappers is being sponsored by Creations by Penny this month! This week's winner will get 5 digis!

Little Kids Creating with Nee Nee...

Good Morning,
First, I want to apologize for not making it to your blogs yesterday to read. I got a couple and then my Little Kids came to spend a snow day with me. We have all been on snow days all week. They were at Gran's and then came to play with me! Yay!

So, Ashlea wanted to make some cards. She started out with this darling little image from Creations by Penny. I had the mittens already printed and she instantly got a vision in her mind of what she wanted to do. Here is her card. She's givng this one to her Great Gran.

When she finished, she hugged me and said, "This looks like one of your cards, Nee Nee." I love you baby girl!
Then, the little man wanted in on the fun. He wanted a snowman to create with. We printed the Simple Doodles star snowman for him. He colored him all by himself, with help from Ash on the polka dot scarf. She also helped with the glitter.

This is the two kiddos proudly showing off the fruits of their labor. Now there's a scrapbook moment! It is still pouring the snow here and about 12 degrees. I have the feeling we'll be doing more crafting today. Stay warm and enjoy the day.

Little Kids' Christmas

Good Morning,
Today is the first challenge of 2010 over at Practical Scrappers! We are excited about this upcoming year, we have LOTS of FUN things planned, you'll have to stay tuned in as not to miss out on any of the fun.
Our challenge this week is to use buttons on your layout, card, or project. I wanted to alter a cd case for the Little Kids' Christmas photos. It was really easy.

I used the jacket inside as a template for my Bazzill cs. I painted the little snowflakes with a paint pen, paper pieced my snowman, embossed using the swiss dots folder, printed the title and cut with my coluzzle. The date is some yummy glitter stickers from the Robin's Nest. I added just a few ribbons for some more yum factor. Then to bring in the buttons, I wanted them to appear to be snow falling, so I used teeny white buttons and mini glue dots to attach them. His rosy cheeks are also buttons.
I LOVE how this turned out! My DT sisters have some more inspiration for you here. If you visit Practical Scrappers each day, you will see different designers showcasing the current challenge...oh and the inspiration you'll find while there! So, let's see your buttons!

So Happy Together...

Happy Monday,
This morning, I wanted to post a double page layout that is one of my favorites. This is my little Ashlea and Jon-Christopher from two years ago. Sorry about the flash on the photos. The dp is Basic Gray, the flower is Prima, cardstock is Bazzill, I don't remember who made the chipboard alphabet, and I used the Cricut for the larger circles, and the ribbon is stash.

Have a great Monday!
Blessings,
