Double Post Today....

Good Friday Morning,
I have a big day at school today, so this is a double and a quick post. Please join us this week at Frosted Designs as we have a color challenge for you, brown, lime green, and aqua. I chose to go with a layout using brown as my base paper, pulling the lime green and aqua from the photos.

Please visit my fabby Frosted Sisters to be inspired by their color creations!

Next, we have a sketch challenge over at The Town Scrapper.
I used one of the new Victoria Case images, Birthday Sophie for this one! Since it is birthday, I wanted to bling it up with the stickles. The sketch didn't call for the flowers, but you all know me, I had to add some.

I used up some old Basic Grey papers for this one. Isn't she just he cutest little birthday girl? I'm so loving the new Victoria Case images. These will be available at The Town Scrapper beginning in May. Contact Phebe (info@townscrapper.com or by phone at 519-882-0623) to order yours today!
Be sure to visit my fellow Scrapettes and check out the incredible inspiration they have for you this week!
My little man has is first Minor League game tonight, I may not get around to blogs until this weekend. Can't wait to see all that I've missed over this busy week at school!

My Girl...

Good Morning,
Today is a busy day here. I have two challenges to reveal. First, I will share my card for Penny's Challenges. Before I do, I want to say Thank You to all 344 of you who played along this last challenge! This knocked our socks off! This week it is all about shapes. You can do a shaped card, layout, or altered project. I decided to go with this fun butterfly card.

I love the purples and black in this fun paper from Colorbok. The ribbon and bling are from my stash. I took this photo in Ashlea's hot pink room. I had one of the big gems pick up the pink from the walls, it really doesn't look pink in real life.
You have got to check out the inspiration from my fabby dt sisters this week. I have them linked up in my sidebar. Be sure to leave them some love!
I'll be back in a bit with my Sisterhood reveal.

Seize the daisy....

Good Morning,
Blogger is not being very nice today. I've tried several times to get this loaded. This week our challenge over at Practical Scrappers is to use buttons. I saw a card in the Keynotes from CTMH that totally inspired this acrylic card. My daisy is from our sponsor this month, Creations by Penny. Remember, if you win this week, you will receive free digi's from Penny.

The acrylic is cut 6 X 12 with rounded corners. I used some scraps from my CTMH stash for this card. The gold buttons are tied onto the baby blue ribbon. I really love how this one came out!
Check out the rest of my awesome dt. Remember, we have new members debuting today. I don't have them linked up just yet, but you will find their work here. Leave them all some love!!!

Happy Birthday Ashlea.....

Good Morning,
Today is my Ashlea's 10th birthday!!!!! Happy Birthday baby girl, I love you like the stars love the night sky! I took this one this morning of my birthday girl in her party animal hat.

This is a glimpse of the indoor water park at the Great Wolf Lodge.

This is the front entrance of the lodge. The kids have had a BLAST!!!!!!
On a side note, Ashlea's Jazz and Pom team finished fourth in both categories. This was the US National Finals. So, the competition season is officially over. She has a performance next Sunday to showcase all the events they have won this year. Then a final performance for the hometown community on June 5.
Thanks for all your compliments and well wishes for her during this season! I'll be traveling today and not reading any of your blogs probably until tomorrow after school!
Blessings,

you...

Good Saturday Morning,
This is short post this morning. We are in Cincinnati for Ashlea's last dance comp of the season. This is the big one.....she competes today between 12:30 and 2 with awards at 4. Wish her lots of luck...
Here is the Friday sketch at Practical Scrappers this week. Love this one Ann-Katrin!

This is my take on it! The paper is by Fancy Pants and really needs very little in the way of embellishments. I have included a hidden journaling tag behind one of the pictures.
Play along with this great sketch!
I'll be visiting you all later this evening. Have a great day!

You are my sunshine.....

Good Friday Morning,
Today is new challenge day at Frosted Designs. We have something FUN this week, we want to see some type of masking. Honestly, I have never tried this technique before this challenge. I had so much fun with this one.

I just drew a little cloud freehand, used my sponge dauber and some blue inks to create my sky. I added a sun, that I ran through the cuttlebug, sponged on some green to a torn sheet of cardstock to achieve a grass layer. Then I stamped on the stems and leaves, popped on some flowers, added some stickles to everything. I just love the little butterfly flitting about. The sentiment is just perfect for this one.
All cardstock, inks, and stamps are CTMH, flowers are Prima, and butterfly is Martha.
Please visit the Fabby Frosted Designers linked up in my sidebar to see some creations that will blow you away!
Have a great weekend!

Just be you...

Good Morning,
Today is a new challenge over at The Sisterhood. Our dear sister, Teri, is hosting today. Our theme this week is Around the World. Since Teri Doodles lives in Scotland, we are all things Scottish today. Your project can have tartan plaid, the colors of Scotland, bagpipes, or anything relating to Scotland. There is so much incredible inspiration from my sistahs on the challenge site, don't you agree?
Teri is also sponsoring this challenge with her Delicious Doodles digi shop.
The winner this week will receive three digis from her Doodle store. I used her little Scottie, isn't he adorable? My plaid is the closest thing to tartan I had.

We can't wait to see what you create! Please share in our Mr. Linky!
Blessings,

Hunter's party pix

Good Afternoon,
I'm traveling with the little kids back to Kentucky today. We've had a fantastic weekend! The weather for Hunter's party was beautiful.
Here a just a few pix....
This one is Hunkie, Ashlea, and his little cousin enjoying some ice cream and cake!
Hunkie got this really "awesome" water balloon launcher. He and Jon-Christopher can't wait for summer to try this out!
Look at the little man on the merry-go-round. I know I've got the cutest stinkers ever!
Oh, the joys of a care-free day, swinging high, not a worry insight!
I hope you all enjoyed your wonderful weekend too!

Orchard Blooms....

Happy Friday!!!
First, I want to ask you all for prayers for my community. On Sunday afternoon, my 15 year old neighbor was killed. She was at her boyfriends house and was shot in the head. This is still under investigation and seems to be mysterious with everything pointing to him, however, like I said, still under investigation. Her burial is today at 11:00 am. Please keep our community in your thoughts and prayers.
On to some happy news, today at Frosted Designs, we are asking you to show us a tree on your project. Oh how fun! I had just taken these photos last weekend of my daddy's peach trees. I printed them up and used the current sketch from The Scrappiest.

All my papers are My Mind's Eye, the chipboard alpha's are Cosmo Cricket, ribbon and brads are from stash, and the flowers are old Prima's.

So visit the Fabby Frosted Designers for lots of yummy inspiration and show us your trees!
Have a blessed day!

Remembrance

Second post, please scroll for Penny's Challenge.
It's time for a new challenge at The Sisterhood! This week's focus is on family with a theme that is All About Family/Faith - Remembrance. This can be a sympathy card, heritage page, remember when, or just one of your favorite memories. I wanted to share a layout from my "I Remember You" book about my Grandfather. He passed away 31 years ago and I still have such fond and vivid memories of him. I had such a bond with him and if there was ever unconditional love, it was found within his very soul! His love still fills my heart everyday. I am who I am today, because of him. I know he looks down on me daily, helping God guide me, sometimes when the wind blows and tousles my hair across my face, I catch a glimpse of him smiling at me!

Please drop by and visit my incredible sisters, leave them some love for all the wonderful inspiration you'll have!

Blessings,
