Friendship....

Good Morning,
I've found another couple of challenges to play in. Lia Stampz Digi Challenges and this one the Poppy Seed Challenge.
As you can see, there will be three seeds in each challenge. The seeds this week are crystals, stamped flower image, and light yellow. I pulled out my CTMH inks, papers, and stamps for this one. I used third generation stamping for my base flowers, I love the soft subtle look of the inks, then applied the direct inked outline stamp for the bold edging. It may be difficult to tell, but the flowers are popped up on foam dots for some dimension. Check them out!
Have a great Sunday!

You're Sweet....

ETA: I just found a new digi challenge blog, Lia Stampz, this one is just perfect for it! Go check her out!
Good Afternoon,
Super busy day going on here at my house. Today is Friday and that brings two new challenges this week for you at Frosted Designs and Humble Pie Stamps. I created one project this week that incorporates both challenges.

But....before I share, I want to congratulate our winners from last week! Our super talented top 3 of the star challenge at Frosted Designs were, Laurel, Hannah, and Jess, check them out!

Our winner of the one embellishment challenge at Humble Pie last week was the super talented Maria, she had the cutest "messy" snowman project, be sure to visit her!

Alright then, the new challenge at Frosted Designs is to use your own handwriting on your project. I wrote on the two tags, "You're Sweet". Everyone always compliments my handwriting, remember, I am a teacher, and have years of practice at "neat" writing.

Our challenge at Humble Pie this week is to make an easel card. Can someone wonk me on the head for not trying these earlier???? I had no idea how super simple these cards were until the Lovely Lisa, my fellow Baker, posted her tutorial on the HP blog. You can check it out here.

One lucky winner will receive the beautiful Whiff of Joy "Charlotte on Carpet" stamp, now available at The Town Scrapper!
Another lucky winner will receive "Sitting Ellie", exclusive to The Town Scrapper!
And "ANGEL MAGGIE" is back by popular demand! EVERY participant for this challenge will receive the Angel Maggie digi via email - if we haven't sent her to you already, please be sure to leave a comment with your email address! Remember, you MUST play along to get this digi, and your project must be created NEW for our challenge!

To My Friend....

Good Morning,
I'm sharing another card for the Practical Scrappers stamp challenge this week. I used a different set of egg stamps on this one, I randomly stamped a background too. This one is very simple but yet makes a statement.

So Blessed....

Good Morning,
It is Monday at that brings a new challenge at Practical Scrappers. Before I share my new project, Congrats to last week's top 3, Hannah, Heather, Renea, and the winning prize goes to Brenda! You ladies really inspired me last week!

This week, Chistine and Ang want to see you use your stamps!!! This week there will be a top three and a Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize winner will receive bonding powder and a Stampee foil of their choice, Christine has an amazing sample here of the foil.

So for my card, I used some older Easter Egg stamps to create this flower. I stamped five eggs onto some textured Bazzill cardstock, cut them out, attached them all by a brad, kind of shaped them up a little, and topped it off with some stickles and a shake of glitter. I used some beautiful pink and yellow Sassafras papers. I desperately needed to see some spring colors!!! Stamps and ink are CTMH and the bling is from my stash.

here is a close up of the Easter Egg flower.
Please visit my super creative Practical Scrappers sisters, daily links in my side bar! You are sure to be inspired! I hope you're feeling creative and ready to play along this week at Practical Scrappers!

imagine....

Good Morning,
It feels so good to get this post up early! Here is the sketch this weekend at Practical Scrappers, it's another fantastic sketch from Ann-Katrin.

I was so inspired to go outside my color box on this one by my fellow dt sister, Joni. She always does the most wonderful layouts with white or very light base pages. So, I threw my white page in on this one.

My paper and overlay are Fancy Pants. I used a template for the flourishes, embossed a little silver around them so that they matched the frame. I cut the title from the Home Accents cart. For a little more color, I added some Prima posies and butterflies from K & Co.

This is a great sketch, if you get to play along with us, be sure to link it up here.

Enjoy your beautiful Sunday!

Introducing Mr. Basketball of Kentucky 2022...

Good Evening,
What a day! Jon-Christopher had his first Youth League basketball game today. We drove an hour to watch him, such a fun little game. Now remember, he is in Kindergarten. His team is all K-1's. You should have seen them, the basketball was almost as big as they were!
Such a wonderful little learning experience for him. We took him to his favorite Mexican restaurant afterwards, hey, he had worked up an appetite!
Check out my future UK Wildcat....Keep an eye on him Coach Cal....
and here he is "stealing" the ball......

I don't have anything creative to share today. I've been busy with the kids and not creating, except dt work. I hope you have a fantastic Saturday! I'll have something fun to share tomorrow! Until then, happy scrapping!

Blessings with Angel Maggie....

***SECOND POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FROSTED DESIGNS CARD***
And as promised, here I am back with my Humble Pie Stamps card. I so love this Angel Maggie! She is so much fun to work with and as always, Humble Pie is so very versatile! This time I wanted her in shades of purple. Our challenge this week is to use only one embellishment, use as many of it as you like, but only one kind! I knew I wanted to do the purple bling, so we have the lovely lavender angel.

Here is what you're playing for this week! You'll receive this incredible Umbrella Ellie in EZ mount rubber and a few other goodies. To get your own Humble Pie Stamps, please visit Phebe at The Town Scrapper. Please check out the what my fellow Bakers have cooked up this week! I have them linked up on my side bar.
And one more item of interest, Ashlea's cheer squad won their competition! Here is a quick pic of her squad during a timeout. She is the little one in the front right corner.
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful day!
Blessings,

Friends 'til the End!

Good Morning,
Sorry I was mia yesterday. I got a phone call early in the a.m. Little Miss Ashlea had a cheerleading comp. Since we've had 8 snowAlign Left days in a row, they decided the ballgame and competition had to take place. So, they had an all day event. We left early and I returned late. We don't know the results of the cheer comp., those are to come later via the coaches. They did really well though.

This morning, I'm sharing my new Frosted Designs card. The challenge this week is to use polka dots and plaid. I used my fab Sassafras pack for this one! It is all out girlie and I love it!!!! My sentiment is a DCWV overlay and the ribbon is from my stash.
My fellow fabby design sisters have some amazing inspiration for you too! Please check them out. As always, I have them linked up in my sidebar! I hope you all have a fab day! I plan on it. I am seeing the sun for the first time this week! It is only 23 degrees but it looks wonderful! Check back later today for my Humble Pie card!

Party On!

Good Morning,
I don't even want to talk about the snow we are getting this week! Go Away!!!!!! The good thing about that is that I have the Little Kids with me! Of course, we're scrappin'!
Today is a new challenge over at Penny's Challenges, remember, this challenge is bi-weekly now. We want to see birthday projects this go around. I wanted to use this sketch from Midnight Madness:
and I'm really into using up my scraps right now, so I pulled out some Emporium papers for this one. I always need masculine cards and this one works! It was rather simple, but I love simple! So head on over to Penny's Challenges and show us your birthday projects. Be sure to visit my dt sister's links, you'll be inspired to get creating those birthday projects! Until tomorrow, stay warm and happy scrapping!

Humble Pie and My Sweet Honeybee!

Good Morning,
Can anyone guess what is out in my yard......again? Argh...I do believe I am going to begin surrounding myself with color, color, and more color. Maybe, it will brighten this blah streak of snow!

This first card I'm sharing is the Valentine card that my adorable Honeybee made while I was at the dance comp this weekend. He went into my scrap space and create all on his own.

He even used a rub-on as the sentiment on the inside. He is so sweet!

Next up is a card I created with a line that Phebe carries at The Town Scrapper. This is Emma from Sugarplum stamps. She is enjoying a nice hot cup of cocoa on this snowy day! If you love her, be sure to visit The Town Scrapper, Phebe is carrying a wide variety of stamps, embellies, and don't forget, you can get your Spellbinders there too!

Easter Chicks.....

Good Morning,
Today is a new challenge over at Practical Scrappers. Thanks to you all who played last week! I always love to see just how creative you can be with each challenge and I love the inspiration I always receive from you! Congrats to our top 3 this week, Denise, Gram Cheryl, Penny and a favorite, Gloria. You can see their winning creations here.

On to our new challenge, this week, we want to see you using flowers.
We're going to pick three winners - the most creative use of flowers, the project that uses the most flowers (leave us a comment so we know), and again our favorite project! We will also be picking one winner randomly generated to get some bling from Glitz Design.
I used this sketch from my incredibly talented dt sister at PS, Heidi. I love this sketch and it worked perfectly for what I wanted in this layout.

Here is the layout. All my papers are My Mind's Eye. The title is thickers, inks are CTMH, the bling flourish is Prima, and the stones in the flowers are from stash.

Be sure to visit my PS sisters, amazing creations to be seen. Leave them so love and let them know how they inspire you!

Valentine....

Good Morning,
***ETA: Ashlea's team placed fourth in both Jazz and Pom routines***
Happy Valentine's Day! We are rushing over to have our final day of Jamfest competition. Wish us lots of luck! We should have final awards at 1:30 PM (ET) and be back on our way home (about 4 hours away, plus dropping Megan back at UK and a good Valentine Meal with the lovely ladies in my life, this was an all female trip! The guys just don't get into the dance comps like we do. So, when I arrive home, I'll post the results.

So very quickly, our lovely Gloria has created a card sketch for us at Practical Scrappers. Here is her sketch:

and here is my final Valentine card for this year. I made this one for my Mom and Daddy! Very simple all papers are My Mind's Eye and the flowers are Prima, brads are from stash, ink, and stamps are CTMH.

Blessings,
