Inspired by....

Oh, I was so very inspired to create a card and play along over at Inspired by this week.....Here is the fabulous photo inspiration. A chalkboard....how appropriate for me this week! We begin our state assessments and I loved this challenge.
I chose to use some leftovers from my last layout to create a card for my teaching partner. I have been so blessed to have her as my partner and my friend! She is truly the best. I will give her this card and some yummy stress relieving chocolates on our first day of testing!
Recipe: scraps of For Always papers, some Honey scraps and that black "chalkboard" is a scrap also. I used some bitty pearls and the ever wonderful Artiste cartridge to create my roses. Just wrote my sentiment with a white jelly roll pen.

Journal

This morning, I am sharing a little journal I made for one of my students. She just lost her Greatgradma. The two were very close. My little girl is such a writer and keeps a journal. I made this as a token for her to record her memories, thoughts, or her healing process.
Recipe: papers-gcd, bling-Prima, flower-Recollections, ribbon stash, and the ink is Gypsy-CTMH

Us...

It is Sunday and that means we have a new challenge up at Lasting Memories....This week we want to see   your take on "Season's Change". I pulled out some photos that Ben and I took 3 years ago at Easter. We took a spring hike in for one mile to see the Beautiful Bad Branch Falls, located here in our home town. This was a fabulous spring day for us!
Recipe: papers-Sassafras Lass, felt-stash, ink-CTMH
I can't wait to see how you interpret the season's change challenge this week!

My Day.....

I have had such a busy week at school this week preparing for state assessments, that I didn't have any time to create at all.... :(  Stressful week.... So this morning, I got right to it and already feel some relaxation setting in! I created this layout of my beautiful Megan's wedding album. I challenged myself to use the card sketch from my last post to do a layout. Love how it came out.
I used some of the new For Always fabrics and rolled these flowers. Oh, there are so many ways to create using that wonderful fabric.
Recipe: All papers and fabrics are For Always, black ink, bling-Prima, Thickers alphas, and I used the Elegant Edges cartridge for the cuts.

Wonderful....

Hello and welcome to wonderful Wednesday! Today, we reveal our new challenge over at Let's Scrap. This week you are inspired to create a card or layout using this sketch.
I pulled out the ever beautiful Chantilly papers for this one. I love how these patterns are just so lovely together. I altered the sketch just a bit to fit my card. That sentiment is from the dimensional elements set. It is just perfect on this card.
So stop by our fun community and play along with us this week! We would love to see your take on this sketch.
Recipe: Chantilly papers, Chantilly Dimensional Elements, Cotton Candy ink, pink glitter gems, and floss from stash.

Lasting Memories....

Good Morning! Our challenge this week at Lasting Memories is to be inspired by a quote. Still rather inspired from last week's challenge, I pulled out some old stash and created this...
I was inspired to create this layout based upon the quote, "It doesn't get any better than this". I adore these Stella papers and canvas stickers. What quote will inspire you? Is it a favorite of yours, or will you be inspired by shopping through your stash, as I was? Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Recipe: Stella papers, Lagoon and Chocolate ink, Stella canvas stickers, antique copper brads, Just for You stamps--CTMH, buttons-stash, and white pen.

Believe in yourself....

Oh yay...I got a chance to finally play along with my scrappy girl, Laurel's challenge, Inspired By. Her inspiration this week is this this photo, full of blue in honor of Autism.....
I was really drawn to the less noticed color in this photo, the beige of the rug and the side table. So, I came up with this...
I used some old stuff on this one and some new CTMH goodies too. The blue is Moonstruck with matching ink. The beige is our Champagne. I ran it through the cuttlebug, then sanded it to expose the white. Then, I used my distressing sponge and lightly dabbed some of the blue ink on the swirls just randomly. I stamped the frame using the new Perfect fit frame from CTMH and cut it out with the Artiste cart. The little sentiment stamp is also retied, but I love it. It is from the Be Happy set. It is stamped in Champagne also. I finished it off with some blue ribbon from my stash and 2 bitty pearls.

Mom...

Good Monday....today is a new reveal at the Rose Blossom Garden challenge. This challenge will focus on using the Happy Mother's Day key on the Artiste cartridge. I created this dainty little box, just perfect for a sweet Pandora charm for my Mom.....
I used the Accent 1 3D Tulip Box key and some soft feminine Clementine papers, Sorbet ink, bitty pearls and one flower from the WOTG set. The ribbon is CTMH retired from years ago.....more of that hoarded stash. ;)
Don't forget that our winner for April will receive this Perfect Frame set.
I hope to see you playing along with us this time!!!!
