hello.....

Happy Friday,
I am sooooo happy that it is Friday! Only one more Friday before Summer Vacation for this third grade teacher! Yay....

Have you been to visit Sketches In Thyme yet? The Maven's are being introduced every day and eagerly awaiting the first big reveal on June 3! Go check it out and say a sketchy hello!

This morning, I have a gorgeous photo inspiration challenge for you from Frosted Designs. When Meg and Jamie sent this photo, my cornflowers were just about to bloom. These are so very delicate looking, yet will bloom and bloom when cared for properly.

Your challenge is to use the photo, the textures, and the style to complete your layout or project. I was instantly drawn to this Basic Grey Lily Kate paper for this challenge. It has the shades of purple and hint of blue along with the green. I added some stickles for some bling and texture. This beautiful paper really did all the work. The sentiment is created with some bling alphas I got from a dollar bin forever ago at Hobby Lobby.

I hope this card and photo have inspired you to create this morning! Please visit my fabby Frosted sisters and prepare to be inspired by them!

My card for The Town Scrapper this week was featured on the Monday Showcase, so I'm off today. But, you need to pop over and see what the Scrapettes have done with this sketch.

Have a fantastic Friday! If you are traveling for the holiday this weekend, please travel safely!

Busy Monday....

Good Morning,
It is Monday again, you know what Monday brings around.....a new challenge for Practical Scrappers. At last glance, we had 162 entries this week....that is awesome! Thanks to you all for playing along with us, please come back this week too! Now on to our winners for the patterned paper challenge, Deb Neerman, Deborah, Fleer, Susan, and the Grand Prize Winner is Svetik. Thanks again for all of the fabulous creations ladies!
Our challenge this week is to use fabric, felt, or tulle on your project. As you know, we've been sponsored all this month by Wink, Wink, Ink. I chose to use the Pup in a Boot image and opted for the one that is already colored....perfectly!

I also wanted to use some tulle, as I've not yet played with it. I tied a small piece vertically around the striped dps. Then I have about 30 layers of tulle cut with my smallest nestie scalloped circle to create the flower. It was too white, so I inked it up just a bit with some purple inks. Here's a close up of the tulle flower....what do you think?

I used some bling and embossing to finish the card off. Please visit the rest of my scrappy dt sisters all this week at Practical Scrappers, you'll find so much inspiration there!

*****************************
The second card to share today is for the Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper. I am sharing this sweet little Zeke! He is one of the cutest little dudes around! I love the distressed papers I used on the card. I really tried to match up the blues and orange for his clothes. I finished it off with some brads, ribbon, and a chipboard sentiment.
This Zeke is available at The Town Scrapper, exclusively...... contact Phebe to get yours.

Please visit my fellow Scrapettes who are featured today, you will be so inspired by their creations, leave them some scrappy love!
Back tomorrow with some BIG news!!!!!

Lots to share today!

Good Friday Morning,
I have lots to share with you this morning. First up is the new challenge reveal over at The Town Scrapper, the lovely Scrapettes want to see you using flowers and lace! Oh, how girlie! I'm off this week, but you can see my Sassy Scrapettes' awesome creations here. Visit them and leave some scrappy love!
Next up, the awesome new challenge at Frosted Designs, I so love it!!! We want to see a shoe on your project. I had inked up my cutttlebug folder with black ink, ran the white cardstock through, spritzed with pearl glimmer mist, repeated for the black, used nesties to cut the scalloped square. The shoe is from M and M Designz. I used some silver embossing powers to give it the classy touch. I really love the pink breast cancer ribbon on the top strap of the shoe. I also added some bling to the toe strap, the center of the black ribbon down the side and the flourishes. You MUST visit my fabby Frosted Sisters and check out their incredible shoe projects! Leave them some love too!

Finally, here is some big news that I just can't can't wait to spill........

I'm a LUCKY GIRL!!!!! I'm so excited to share with you that I made the DT for the new Lucky Girl Craft Kits store. Double Post Today....

Good Friday Morning,
I have a big day at school today, so this is a double and a quick post. Please join us this week at Frosted Designs as we have a color challenge for you, brown, lime green, and aqua. I chose to go with a layout using brown as my base paper, pulling the lime green and aqua from the photos.

Please visit my fabby Frosted Sisters to be inspired by their color creations!

Next, we have a sketch challenge over at The Town Scrapper.
I used one of the new Victoria Case images, Birthday Sophie for this one! Since it is birthday, I wanted to bling it up with the stickles. The sketch didn't call for the flowers, but you all know me, I had to add some.

I used up some old Basic Grey papers for this one. Isn't she just he cutest little birthday girl? I'm so loving the new Victoria Case images. These will be available at The Town Scrapper beginning in May. Contact Phebe (info@townscrapper.com or by phone at 519-882-0623) to order yours today!
Be sure to visit my fellow Scrapettes and check out the incredible inspiration they have for you this week!
My little man has is first Minor League game tonight, I may not get around to blogs until this weekend. Can't wait to see all that I've missed over this busy week at school!

Happy Easter with The Scrapettes....

SECOND POST, SCROLL FOR FROSTED DESIGNS POST
This week at The Town Scrapper, we are challenging you to use charms on your project. We have a tutorial for handmade charms here.
I decided to use the little butterfly from the Sophie in the garden image to create my own charm. I colored it up, traced an acrylic little tag, cut to fit, and then adhered it together. My image is one of the new Victoria Case images. Isn't it just perfect for an Easter greeting?

The winner of this week's challenge will get her pick of any one of the six original Victoria Case images Phebe has at The Town Scrapper. Our Scrapettes have such incredible inspiration for you and your charms. Please visit them by the links in my side bar. Leave them some happy love!

Have A Beary Happy Day...

Good Morning,
I am so loving the sunshine and warmer temps. I was inspired by this weekend's weather to create this card. The yellows and oranges in here just brighten my day, as it is dreary and chilly here today.

It was posted yesterday on the Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper. This is another adorable Sophie that is EXCLUSIVE to The Town Scrapper. If you love Victoria Case stamps and you are ready to pick up some new ones, you need to visit Phebe at The Town Scrapper. Keep checking back, she has some new releases coming in April! I hope you are inspired to create today!

I used My Mind's Eye papers, CTMH ribbons, bling from Recollections, Tatterd Straw Tim Holtz ink, and my corner rounder for the scallops.

Blessings,

Sneak Peek at New Victoria Case Images...

Second Post, Scroll Down For Frosted Designs Card
Here we are, time for a new challenge at The Town Scrapper. If you haven't already done so, please snag our new logo. It is located just above the Scrapettes' blog roll. You can leave a comment HERE to be entered to win two new exclusive Victoria Case images! Also, this week's winner will get to chose from 6 new Victoria Case images. You know you want to play. What's this week's challenge you ask? Incorporate ribbons and rub-ons on your project. Whew, how much fun that is! We all LOVE ribbons and rub-ons.

I used some little white flower rub-ons in the corners of my marquee. I used three ribbons on this card, yellow, mint green gingham, and the pink gingham. I chose to use the Spring Garden Sophie. She is a soon to be released stamp. I think she is the most delightful little garden girl ever! The sentiment on this card reads, "Love is in the garden you grow". How true! So, come on ladies, check our my fellow Scrapettes, you will feel the warm sunshine of Spring in the air when you visit them today. Be sure to leave them some love! I can't wait to see your ribbons and rub-on creations!

You're Sweet....

ETA: I just found a new digi challenge blog, Lia Stampz, this one is just perfect for it! Go check her out!
Good Afternoon,
Super busy day going on here at my house. Today is Friday and that brings two new challenges this week for you at Frosted Designs and Humble Pie Stamps. I created one project this week that incorporates both challenges.

But....before I share, I want to congratulate our winners from last week! Our super talented top 3 of the star challenge at Frosted Designs were, Laurel, Hannah, and Jess, check them out!

Our winner of the one embellishment challenge at Humble Pie last week was the super talented Maria, she had the cutest "messy" snowman project, be sure to visit her!

Alright then, the new challenge at Frosted Designs is to use your own handwriting on your project. I wrote on the two tags, "You're Sweet". Everyone always compliments my handwriting, remember, I am a teacher, and have years of practice at "neat" writing.

Our challenge at Humble Pie this week is to make an easel card. Can someone wonk me on the head for not trying these earlier???? I had no idea how super simple these cards were until the Lovely Lisa, my fellow Baker, posted her tutorial on the HP blog. You can check it out here.

Recipe:
all papers, flowers, tags~ My Mind's Eye
inks-CTMH
Berry Maggie~ Humble Pie Stamps
buttons, ribbon, floss~stash

Well..... we have LOTS of stuff to give away at Humble Pie this week!
One lucky winner will receive the beautiful Whiff of Joy "Charlotte on Carpet" stamp, now available at The Town Scrapper!
Another lucky winner will receive "Sitting Ellie", exclusive to The Town Scrapper!
And "ANGEL MAGGIE" is back by popular demand! EVERY participant for this challenge will receive the Angel Maggie digi via email - if we haven't sent her to you already, please be sure to leave a comment with your email address! Remember, you MUST play along to get this digi, and your project must be created NEW for our challenge!
So be sure to visit the Fabby Frosted Designers and Humble Pie Bakers in my side bar. You don't want to miss the inspiration they have for you today!

Blessings with Angel Maggie....

***SECOND POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FROSTED DESIGNS CARD***
And as promised, here I am back with my Humble Pie Stamps card. I so love this Angel Maggie! She is so much fun to work with and as always, Humble Pie is so very versatile! This time I wanted her in shades of purple. Our challenge this week is to use only one embellishment, use as many of it as you like, but only one kind! I knew I wanted to do the purple bling, so we have the lovely lavender angel.

Here is what you're playing for this week! You'll receive this incredible Umbrella Ellie in EZ mount rubber and a few other goodies. To get your own Humble Pie Stamps, please visit Phebe at The Town Scrapper. Please check out the what my fellow Bakers have cooked up this week! I have them linked up on my side bar.
And one more item of interest, Ashlea's cheer squad won their competition! Here is a quick pic of her squad during a timeout. She is the little one in the front right corner.
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful day!
Blessings,
