Some Photos of Snow...

Good Morning,
It feels really good to be able to get up and do a post this morning. I spent the day yesterday doing laundry and the remainder of the day at my Granny's. My sister had taken these photos last Saturday morning in the midst of the storm. This is my Gran's property and the tree damage she had.

This first photo a tree that fell from the neighbor's hillside across the road onto Gran's fence.
This is the same tree, just taken from inside the yard.

This is a 50+ year old white pine that has never broken in any ice or snow storm. Gran just had bought this little shed this past summer for the ridding mower and it was damaged through the storm.

This is a view of Gran's front yard and down the lane. Most of her yard decorations were down in the storm.

This is another shot of the white pine tree and just how it was broken.
These were taken early on Saturday morning. We accumulated another 6-8 inches of snow during the day. We are hearing that we may have yet another snow storm move beginning on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. I love the snow and think it is one of God's most beautiful creations. I just don't want to see the heavy damage that can sometimes accompany it. As of this morning, the report is just under 16,000 still without electricity in our region. I know that we are blessed to have gotten ours back as quickly as we did. I hope you all enjoy your Sunday!
Blessings,

  5. Thank God you all are ok! I'm so afraid of snow now. Last January we had that horrible ice storm and lost our power and water. My entire house is electric so for 24 hours we had no heat, no water, no lights, no way to even cook. I was also 6 months pregnant at the time. Thank God we only lost it for a day, some people were without power for weeks.

Glad you all were able to have Christmas and that you all are OK!

    Happy New Year!!

  9. Kim: It was so good to hear from you on my blog. I am trying really hard to blog each day, now that life is a little easier. I hope you are safe and, by the way, I loved the pictures of the snow. I love looking at pictures, but don't want to move out of Florida. LOL
    Hugs,
    Lynn
