Good Morning,
Snow day again for me, yippee!!!! Today is Monday and we have a brand spankin' new challenge this week at Practical Scrappers! Thanks to you all who played with us last week, I saw some incredible ways to use buttons and I was inspired by each of you. Congrats to IRIT for winning and the top 3 were Alanna, Gidget, and leslii, you girls rock!
Here is some news you may be interested in:
"We are looking for four new designers - set to start up in February. If you are interested please e-mail us at practicalscrappers@gmail.com with your three favorite projects. Please make sure to send us a link to your blog, become a follower, and join the forum! The deadline to enter is January 20th at 5:00 ET."
This week we are asking you to use some bling, glitter, embossing powders, dew drops, anything blingy and shimmery. We have a prize pack again this week, we're sponsored by Glitz Designs, so the grand prize winner will get some new bling!
I wanted to pull out the silver embossing powders to add a blingy shimmer to this page. I had taken these photos last week in our big snow. My little Ashlea and I walked up to my Gran's and she just played and let me snap the camera. I love the 5 X 7 of her. That one inspired the title.
On to the technique, I just stamped the snowflakes with embossing ink, dusted on the silver powder, and turned on the heat. I used my Versa pen to add the embossing ink to the title to try and achieve the look of snow drifting from them. I cut the snowflakes from the Christmas Solutions cart and added some stickles for bling. The title is cut from my favorite, Alphalicious.
All of my papers are CTMH.
Now, for those of you who visit Practical Scrappers often, I've changed up my side bar. I have listed my DT sister's and the days they post. So, be sure to check out the Monday @ Practical Scrappers on my side bar today for inspiration from Joni, Julie, and Joy!
I can't wait to see you use some bling this week.
Blessings,
