Have you been to visit The Sisterhood yet? Today you will be introduced to one of our founding sisters, be sure to go check out who she is, then pay her a visit and leave some love!
Today I'm sharing a project that is a few years old, but so close to my heart. Being a southern girl, we all call my Gran "Mamaw (Mam-aw), tell them Fern, it is the best name, next to Mom that southern woman can have. Anyways, my Gran is 83 and a few years ago, she and I sat down and I had her use her own handwriting to record some of her favorite recipes that she hopes the family will continue for many generations.
I really distressed the SEI papers with my inks and added charms, lots or ribbons, and other embellies. This is a cherished keepsake for many generations to come!I challenge you to create a project that you know will be cherished for generations. If you have already done so, I'd love to hear about or see it, leave me a link!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
How ownderful is this! I love that you have recipes in her handwriting. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteKim this is a fab idea and something that will be there for all generations to see and use. I wish I had some of my Nana's recipes, she was the best cook and baked the best cakes ever. I love all the colours and inking and the fact that your Mamaw wrote the recipes herself. Such a treasure!

ReplyDeleteKIM I LOVE IT! I wish I had time with my Grandma to do this but sadly she passed away last year. She was not well for years so it is better for her and my Moms mom passed when my mom was only 15 so I was not given the opportunity to document like you, I love it! Sorry long!
