Celebrate...

Good Morning,
Today is Wednesday, and I'll have two post for you today. The first is the reveal at Penny's Challenges. Penny's theme for this week is open, that's right, anything goes..... how fun does that sound?
I decided to go with this gorgeous large mask that can be picked up here. I knew I wanted the purple, gold, and black theme. I used a gold metallic gel pen for the feathers and just colored in with wispy short strokes, hopefully you think it resembles feathers. I added three purple stones in the upper corner, a touch of ribbon, and a punched border.

All of the cardstock is CTMH, ink, stamps, and markers are CTMH and American Crafts, ribbon and bling are from stash.
Well, are you ready to share your fun projects, need more inspiration, be sure to visit my super talented dt sisters. I have them linked up in my sidebar. Be sure to give them some happy love today!
Come back in a bit, I'll have a reveal for The Sisterhood!

Prayer Journal...

Good Tuesday Morning,
If you haven't heard, there is a fabby new Spring Blog Hop happening over at Practical Scrappers and lots of others are joining in! It all begins here. Head over to check it out!

I have a beautiful prayer journal to share with you this morning. Tonight is our WCG (Women of the Church of God) annual reveal for secret sisters. Among a hand carved angel, a daily devotional by Max Lucado, a beautiful potted annual plant, I made this beautiful prayer journal for my sister.

I picked it up at the dollar store. The colors were just bold and so yummy. I really like how it turned out. I printed the scripture on the front and layered some CTMH cardstocks punched with the Martha doily border punch, with a touch of black pearls.
I then added some bling, Primas, and tied it all together with a big black ribbon.

I hope you have a fantastic day! Be sure to come back tomorrow as I will have two new reveals to share. Penny's Challenges and The Sisterhood will both have new ideas for you!

Bad Blogger...

I'm trying to read blogs this evening and my blogger will not open or either not allow me to leave comments. I've tried many different ones over the past two hours and I've been able to leave one comment. :=(
I really want to see what everyone has been up to, is anyone else having issues tonight? It won't even let me load my photos for tomorrow's post. Oh well.......
Tomorrow is a new day...
Blessings,

trust your heart

Good Monday Morning,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! :-) I certainly did!

Well, it is Monday and the best thing about Monday is the new challenge revealed at Practical Scrappers! Before I get to that, let's take a peek at our winners this week. Top three are Katie Tate, Kanata Newf, and Gloria M. Our grand prize winner of five FREE digi's from Creations by Penny is.....Wendy! Congrats ladies, you all did such incredible projects with your markers.
Now, on to our new challenge, show us your bling, glitter, anything with a sparkle this week! As you know, our April sponsor is Penny from Creations by Penny. I chose to use her flower branch for this challenge. Be sure to stop by Penny's store and pick up your beautiful flower branch today. She has a bundle deal going on right now, the more you buy the more you save! I just saw this beautiful butterfly in these shades and couldn't resit. I opted to keep my bling mostly in the form of stickles applied to the the image in several places. I used the strawberry and diamond colors on here.
My papers are so old, I honestly do not know who they are made by. They're old enough to be pulled from Ashlea's bag. Anything five years or older hits her bag. I added just a little pop of bling in the upper left corner. I really enjoyed the Tim Holtz milled lavender ink distress ink too.

You need to visit my incredibly talented design team sisters this week for loads of inspiration. You know I have them linked up in my side bar, as always. Be sure to visit Penny and pick up some fun digi images.
Have a great day!
Blessings,

Spring Is Blooming....

Good Afternoon,
I do hope you are having a glorious day! The weather has been perfect this weekend and will be all week. Our temps are mid to upper 70's all through Saturday.
I spent the day working out in my yard yesterday and I'm on my way out to finish up. Oh how quickly the weeds grow! I wanted to share some photos of what is in bloom here in my beautiful mountains of Kentucky.
This beautiful white bloom is that of my primrose. This is the only white one I have, all the others are a deep red with the yellow centers.
This is my daddy's gorgeous and VERY delicious cherry tree. My little Jon-Christopher loves to climb up this tree to help us pick them. He eats as many as he picks!

This is the very beginnings of my daddy's apple blossoms. I'm sure with the week of warm sunshine we are expecting, they will be in full bloom by Friday.

This is one of the three peaches we sprayed yesterday. I can't wait until this summer when I walk up to the orchard, gather these ripe juicy peaches and make some cobblers and jam. Oh, so delicious!

These tulips are blooming in my Grans front yard. She LOVES tulips and so do I.
Have you ever seen such adorable little grape hyacinth ? I love them and this little garden stone is really old, you can tell by the fading of the paint, but it holds one of my favorite scriptures.
I'll be back tomorrow with a reveal for the Practical Scrappers new challenge this week and back to reading blogs. I hope you enjoy this beautiful day!

Its A Beautiful Day....

Good Evening,
I have been enjoying this beautiful weather we're having! Ben and I went up to my daddy's orchard and sprayed the peach trees today. The bloom are all gone now, so the peaches will begin to grow in the next few weeks. He always has the best peaches, I suppose they are the best because they are grown on the hill just above my backyard!

Today, I bring you the weekend sketch from Practical Scrappers. Now I did take a few liberties with the sketch. I began with a card and mid-stream, changed my idea and ended up with a gift bag! At any rate, it was completely inspired by Gloria's sketch below.
Here's the gift bag, I told you I took a few liberties.....sometimes sketches just need to give you a place to start. I used the rainbow and girlie turtle images from Creations by Penny, our fabulous sponsor this month at Practical Scrappers. She has a brand new forum, please visit and say hello!
So I used the fabby digis, some Martha glitter, watercolor paper, pencils, I embossed the blue cardstock and used ink from and a sticker from CTMH. The bag, tissue, and ribbon are from the dollar store. I hope you enjoyed the fun bag, oh and don't forget, we are having our DT Call at Practical Scrappers until April 18, please stop by! We'd love to see your talents!
Blessings,
